Best Surgical Bra I've Found!
When I had breast reduction surgery a few months ago one one side, the hospital used this type of surgical bra to send me home. I really like it for the softness, the stretch, and the comfort. Plus it is stain resistant, which is nice, because my incisions drained quite a bit, but it all washed out of the fabric of this bra easily.A few weeks ago, before I had reduction surgery on the other side, I got the product ID and info from my surgical bra and found it on Amazon. I was thrilled! The price may seem steep, but for the comfort and durability, it's money well-spent. I wound up buying two more from Amazon so I can wear a clean one every night and wash them in between wearing. These bras honestly feel like I'm not wearing a bra, which is nice. I am so grateful that Amazon carries this particular brand and style number! I can't recommend this surgical bra enough!

The best post op bra I have found.
After a long search for a post op bra that i could wear 24/7, and after trying on at least 15 different ones, this wonderful bra is the best out there.I am supposedly down to a 34C/D post op, but with the bruising and swelling I ordered this in an XL (2 days post op). Am wearing it on its first set of hooks for now, but as the swelling reduces I can go to the second set.PROS: -Front closure (so essential for post op).- Double set of hooks (to adjust as swelling reduces)- Soft soft soft material and no discomfort- No Uniboob, as its cut to hold each breast separately and not as one lumpy unit- No seams along the side, removing any chafing or discomfort- Low enough front to be able to wear like a normal bra under clothes without it looking like a surgical number- Easy to wash and air dry- Feels expensive and well made-Good support-Great value for price-Comes in a couple of colorsCONS: None really, the only quibble is that the straps are not adjustable, but maybe having an adjustable loop may have added to some discomfort anyways that is easily remedied by buying the other model the same company sells WITH adjustable straps (Carefix "Alice" Front Close Comfort Bra w/ Adjustable Straps #329150), which I just received and is wonderful as well. All in all: an excellent buy, I would highly recommend this, as it looks sleek, is comfortable and has everything I needed for post op care, without looking like a post op bra. The last thing one needs (after a reduction) is to be wearing a bra that is the size of a tank! Even in these early days I wanted to wear something that did the job and looked good.

Not the best option post-op
A few days following breast reduction, I began looking for a couple of additional surgical/post-op bras to supplement the one I received in the hospital. After reading all the great reviews, I ordered both the Marena Sugical Bra w/ 2" band and this one from Carefix. Upon removing it from the package, I was immediately struck by how small it looked. However, I quickly found that this thing is VERY stretchy and that the size I ordered was just right. It's very soft and was tremendously comfortable for 24 hour wear. Like others, I noticed that the shoulder straps are not adjustable and I worried a little about the placement of the small plastic o-ring that joins the strap to the rest of the bra in the front. I was initially afriad it was going to put pressure on a sore area, but that turned out not to be the case. I wore the bra for nearly 48 hours before the first wash and was sure it would give the Marena a run for its money. However, after washing, I completely changed my mind. Upon second wear the elastic band began rolling/bunching up. Unfortunately, this caused a great deal of discomfort as it would roll up and apply extra pressure right along my incision. No matter how many times I un-rolled it, it would roll right back up again... almost instantly. Also, while I didn't notice on first wear, on the second wear I noticed after removing the garmet that it was leaving indentations on my breasts. The fabric is "gathered" where it come into the center on the front. The texture created was leaving marks. Initially I thought perhaps the rolling of the band and the impressions from the material might be due to the sizing, but I'm certain the bra fits. For what it's worth, the Marena also has the "gathered" fabic and I haven't noticed it leaving marks. If the Carefix didn't roll at the band, it would have been my go-to even without the ability to adjust the straps. It's super comfortable and SO light weight. Please re-inforce the band!

Other than the torture stitching that attaches bra and strap to the little rings in front this bra is perfect
The bra deserves 5 stars except that the stitching that attached the bra to the little rings that transition bra to strap is made out of torture thread. Just trying it on scratched the hell out of me. Wearing it for a brief time made my skin red and irritated. The bra material is very soft and comfortable but the stitching just in that one spot seems like a cruel joke. If they'd have just stitched it in reverse, with the fold the opposite way the bra would be perfect. I received the bra only a few days before my surgery so I didn't have time to send it back so I tried to think of solutions. The most obvious was to cut the stitching out and restitch it with softer thread (and folding it opposite so that the stitching was not in contact with the skin but I didn't even have time (or desire) to, in essence, rebuild the bra so I got the idea of coating the stitching in "shoe goo" which I had laying around from a shoe repair. Shoe goo is a brand of rubber glue that reminds ne of rubber cement. Maybe it is rubber cement, not sure, but I just coated the stitching in a thick layer of shoe goo. Omg it worked like a charm! The bra is NOW perfect. The size: I wear medium clothes and a 34 D bra. I read the size chart and some of the reviews and got the perfect size on the first try so trust what you know. The cups are stretchy enough to fit a larger or smaller bust though, I'd think.

Shoulder straps are not adjustable
I like the general construction of the bra however the shoulder straps do not adjust which defeats the purpose of a garment that is supposed to be supportive.
