Can it be used with a ps2 cable???

Yes, the USB interface is the most common one but this scanner also is made to work with the correct PS/2 and serial cables.

Can this read barcodes created from Square?

The QuickStart Manual for the Scanner (which can be downloaded) will provide you with the settings to configure the scanner to read a variety of different barcodes. The barcode identification of your product itself is uploaded to Square within your inventory file. So if you want the scanner to read, for example, "1234" as your barcode, you use this as the SKU for your product in your Square inventory and then you set your read to pick up interleaved 2 to 5 barcodes by literally scanning that setting in the Manual.
