So I had to buy a second one...
I bought this one though Amazon Prime as I bought the same tank from another vendor. That one came literally destroyed. The amazon carrier came to my door and asked me where I wanted it and it came in perfect condition. Thank you amazon. So on to the tank. The tank all in all is a fine box. Like many of the other reviews (I think I read all of them), it is made of a thin aluminum. I do think the top could of been a little thicker, but that doesn't take away from the review as its more of a observation. I have a 2010 Ford F-350 Lariat Dually with a 8' bed... the way its mounted in mine using all available space, I still have 6' 2" of bed left. The instructions are pretty much straight forward. I would recommend reviewing some YouTube videos as they help with kind of a wide view of the installation. I would recommend drilling the 3/4" hole and before you put the final placement on the neoprene strips, have the gravity line from the tank already be fed through the hole. I had to take the tank off, install the hose and replace. You can see in the pictures, the tank just fit and I didn't want to force the fuel line. Also would recommend putting some small lube on the nipples of the valves for easier installation, super tight as they should be for fuel holes. Also as many other reviewers have stated, buy the diesel fuel line kit. Come with all you need. All in all, installation took probably 2 hours. Now knowing how to do it, I could totally shave 30 minutes off that. Just didnt want to screw up. VERIFY your clearances where you drill the boats. You might hit something or you could drill a hole into an area in which the hardware might be inaccessible. Luckily I didnt have that problem and thats why it took a little longer to install. The center bolt hole cleared a part of the undercarriage by an inch.Best of luck, highly recommend and now I have 98 gallons of diesel fuel on board with no leaks.

Great addition for cross country trips while towing my fifth wheel
I bought this for my 2016 Ford F350 (DRW, 8' bed), which I bought to pull my 41' fifth wheel. The tank probably isn't needed if you aren't hauling a large load, but when I pull the fifth wheel I drop to about 8-9mpg and only around 250 miles to the OEM tank. Adding this tank gave me 700+ miles between fill ups. I specifically purchased this model because it fits in the bed, under my Gator Roll Up Tonneau Cover The tank was kind of a pain to install, a lot of moving it around to find the right places to drill holes. It didn't help that I have a fifth wheel hitch already in the truck, actually that made it about 10x worse. It fit perfectly, although I might have offset the tank away from the fuel line side next time. One bolt was right above the fuel line (had to buy a shorter bolt), the center bolt was above the frame (had to tape the hardware together under the bed to make it work - could not see anything) and the last bolt was free and clear of any obstruction. The tank valve stem was right next to the truck bed, made the transition under the bed a little difficult. You will need the RDS Diesel Install Kit for the tank, just make sure you purchase the correct kit for your truck. Vehicle info is in the listing, mine fit great. The RDS website works well for deciding which tank and kit to purchase. I added a piece of leftover fuel line to the breather valve in the fill section of the box to help avoid splashing fuel.My only criticism at this point is the volume. It claims 60 gallons, but when empty I was only able to add 52-53 gallons at each fill up. Not a big deal, but still not 60 gallons.Definitely worth the investment for cross country trips pulling my fifth wheel, especially further out west where truckstops are few and far between. I actually had to run to about 75 miles or so left of diesel once, that was not fun.

Dont wait! Just get one...2018 3500 Ram 6.7 Cummins
Glad I bought this...should have bought it sooner. Easy install if you take the rear wheel and inner fender lining out (easy). This gives you all the room you need to do the job properly. You'll need a single blade hacksaw to cut the tubing. Also try and leave the ground connection on the tubing. You can accomplish this by sawing the steel tube right up to where the ground is. This should be the perfect amount to prep for the install kit. I should also mention to undo the existing rubber hose on the tank inlet and cut the section out of the pipe from there towards the filler so that you only use one rubber splice from the fill tube to the connection kit. The other end of the connection kit goes directly to the existing rubber hose coming out of the tank. Cleaner install. Double clamp everything and use thread-lock on the small fuel fittings. I NEVER have to shut my tank off. I always fill from the aux tank and let it drain into the stock tank. Never a leak...ever! Excellent product and fast delivery.

Looks good and holds extra fuel ... what more could you ask for
Packaging could have been better, when it arrived the sides were bent some and the top wouldn’t open... got out a pry bar and open the top and then started repairing the dents on the outside ... repaired the locking devices on the lid ... changed the valve on outside as I wanted a decent brass valve .... installed it by myself and like the way it fit ... lower than the rails and able to still have my 5th wheel installed ... used center bolt on 5th wheel mounting rails for center bolt .... all in all very pleased with mounting and purchase ... something so big coming through UPS one has to expect some repairs ... but looks good and get lots of comments on how it looks... like that the filler is below locked lid as is the fuel gauge ... 2011 F250 short bed diesel ...
