One less thing to worry about
I'm very found of my new device. For me, automation is the way to go in every aspect and this switch helps with that. It replaced my regular switch with no modifications needed and works as expected. I set it to trigger at 55 and stay on for 4 minutes. Sometimes it goes through that cycle twice and it's great. No more having to come out of the shower to turn the fan on or coming out of the bed because I forgot it on.

Needs Better Engineering
I normally give 5 stars, but I really hope the manufacturer reads this one. This has such potential to be perfect. It looks really good and the controls are almost right. Would be great if someone thought of a symbol or word that meant "On 2x", or a single featured button that powers with a single click, instead of M with no guest aware that it needs to be tapped twice. But the humidity detector is not making the cut. It's either too far recessed, needs better ventilation, needs a tiny fan, or needs to be mounted visibly on the exterior. Maybe it just needs the in-wall portion of it's exterior to be better sealed. It will trigger at 60%, run for about 1 min, and then turn off because it reads 40% from the in-wall air running through the humidity detector and into the steamy bathroom, where condensation is still coating the mirrors and walls. Me blowing at it for two seconds during that gets it right up to 80%, aaand a minute later it shows 40% again and turns the fan off way too early

Excellent features. Standard install.
Excellent features. Inexpensive. Works perfectly. Mode features ... ranges are not enough... allowed range fluctuations need to be lower. Humidity level control range increments/ decrements are 5% .. should be less like 2. You can set the humidity ranges .. 40 45 50 .. then it does not kick off until 43 48 53 Can not set 47 etc.. Not easy to operate.

Great switch for a more than fair price
Had a $65 Leviton that decided after a year to just work at random times, sometimes when it should, but alot of times when noone was in the shower and humidity levels were below 55%. This one I just installed and it worked very nice to turn the bath fan on and off. Soon everyone learned to press it twice to use the fan for non-humidity purposes. We have a "problem" with teens who know how to turn on a switch, but have an aversion to turning them off. This solves that entire issue. Fairly accurate and has worked well for a few months now with no drift on the measurement of humidity. I imagine it will work for a much longer time than the expensive Leviton.

Poor usability design and functionality.
I'm a software engineer and if I had trouble with this, I can't imagine the average Joe. My criticisms will be somewhat technical. But if you want the TL;DR this product just SUCKS. Here's why. - Turning on the fan is a confusing double press of the "M" key. 1st press turns on the light, 2nd press turns on the fan. Super confusing for guests. - Menus are labeled by numbers, which you have to cross-reference with the manual to understand what they control. Otherwise, they just look like a bunch of random numbers. No text. - Humidity sensor requires calibration, otherwise, switch will turn on at the wrong times. - Switch often does not turn on when the mirror is obviously foggy ----- Technical Feedback ----- This product has a flawed approach to sensing humidity. Humidity is something that fluctuates as part of the weather. A rainy day will trend your indoor humidity higher than a sunny day. The Ortis switch doesn't monitor the room's humidity for these changes. Instead, it keeps it at a setpoint RH%. This means that it's possible for your bathroom fan to run nonstop on a rainy day just because the RH% is higher than your setpoint. A better approach to this rather than acting like a thermostat is to monitor the room's RH% over a long period of time and look for rapid spikes in humidity, like when you're taking a shower. There are switches the likes of Leviton that do this for you without you having to think about it. It's my belief that a smart switch should make your lifestyle easier, not harder. Note on usability: The interface is poorly programmed with menus being represented by numbers and confusing instructions even when you read them word-by-word. If I have to pull out the instructions every time I use it, I can imagine that guests would be intimidated by a switch like this and just never turn on the bathroom fan.

Works well, easy to program, will work for a humidifier or dehumidifier depending on how its set. Installed in 5 min. We'll worth the purchase. Replaced my timer switch with this.

Works great. I left it at the factory default settings which are working perfectly. The translated to English instructions are pitiful and very hard to decipher. So far so good, even my neighbour wanted me to buy her one.

Je comprends rien de la programmation! Souvent il demarre toute seule pendant la nuit! Dans le mien,il y a pas des lettres M ou autre choses sur l interrupteur! En hiver,il demarre rarement mais l été souvent il demarre beaucoup!

Worked well for 2 to 3 months but now it's not working consistently, it take too much time to start and often it is after the shower is finish and then it run for 1 minute, I tried everything in the settings to make more sensitive and runs longer but it's not. I can't find a way in amazon to ask for warranty replacement. the product have less that a year.

I needed something to turn the fan on instead of remembering. This switch has a really good and very sensitive humidity sensor. I programmed it easily with the manual to turn on for 20 minutes after a certain threshold. 1 minute is the standard but my fan draws too much humidity out of the room so it has to restart again. The only downside is pressing the M button twice to turn it on manually.
