SOLID CHOICE
I’ll be honest — this is not the best tasting or easiest mixing protein out there. It’s a little grainy and takes some effort to shake properly. But that’s exactly why I bought it. This is one of the few proteins that is truly clean. No additives, no sweeteners, no weird ingredients — just straight pea protein. And if you’re trying to avoid all the extra stuff, that matters. Also, no emulsifiers or mixing agents. Most protein powders add those to make it dissolve easier and feel smoother, but they’re still extra processed ingredients your body has to deal with. They don’t add real nutritional value — they just improve texture and shelf life. Most “smooth” proteins are smooth because they add things to make them that way. This one doesn’t. So yeah, you give up a little convenience and texture… but you know exactly what you’re putting in your body. For me, that trade-off is worth it. If you want something clean and simple, this is a solid choice at least for me.

Price good. Taste no good. Scratches mouth and throat.
Me explain like cave man. Me like company. They make simple product; max 7 ingredients. Protein good for me. Me vegan. Protein vegan. Me need vegan protein so me buy from company. Protein powder gritty. Not southern grits gritty but baking soda in toothpaste gritty. Not deal breaker for me. Taste not vanilla. Taste vanilla soaked coffee filter. Taste over power all other mix-ins. Powder no like liquid. Powder cake up on side of bottle me shake. Me angry because me have to use finger to scrape bottle. Finger a mess. Extra step me no like. Me wonders what flavor doesn't have these problems but me have tried 2 flavors - same problem. Me finish bottle and wait until company improves Powder. Powder make great baking addition. No taste powder when baking.

Seems good enough
Not the best tasting protein, but also I’m used to vegan protein powders being traditionally not very “yummy” dissolves well with a blender bottle and some soy milk. Just tastes earthy. For the ingredients and cost it’s a win for me

Protein
Not your average sweetened protein powder. I went to a hollistic doctor and she said that pea protein is the best form of protein (aside from real food) that you can consume. You have to doctor it up if you’re not used to unsweet things. I add banana, strawberries and honey. This is not a powder you should take with water like others because it’s so raw and has very to no taste. I love it because the 5lbs lasts me awhile and because it does not bloat me. Also there is no clumping.

Peas makes you jacked!
People, please don't just go by negative reviews. I saw a couple of negative reviews where they were complaining that it tastes like mushed peas. But... isn't that what it's made with?? Wow! People, this is a great whey protein alternative which will contain chickpeas and other non dairy goodies. 3 flavors offered - vanilla, chocolate and plain. I got the vanilla but definitely wasn't expecting it to taste like a Cold Stone Creamery super vanilla ice cream. So just use common sense, peas will taste like peas but it has the protein you're looking for. Forget the rest of the sugarholics expecting their protein podwer to taste like ice cream. Pea protein powder, 7/10! Weird taste at first, but you remember that you're drinking pea protein. Update - Vanilla flavored pea protein is now so much better to my taste palette. I taste the vanilla more. And I got jacked from working out, enjoying this vanilla pea protein and healthy meals. Work hard, get your reward!

Great protein - amino acid profile similar to whey
Disolved easily. Probably easier than any other protein powder I’ve ever tried. I can’t do Whey nor Casein nor Egg anymore. This stuff probably wrecked my gut. I train very regularly so I need a decently high protein intake and this does the trick very well. Taste isn’t bad at all. Don’t expect something sweet (it is slightly sweet just not candy sweet or typical protein shake sweet). Tastes sorta like something between oatmeal and chicory. I’ve added peanut butter to it before. Tastes pretty awesome that way. Pb doesnt disolve well but that s ok. I use a fork to batter it for 10 sec. The pb small strings/pepites is what tastes the strongest pb than the part that might go into smaller particles into the mix. Pea protein is the most well balanced protein in terms of amino acids out of all veggie proteins. It s pretty much like whey. Without the crap. Note that pea protein metabolizes into higher amounts of uric acid. If you have gout... this ain’t for you. If you don’t, well probably best to still watch your consumption. * UPDATE 4 months into it * Love this. I replaced 90% of my protein consumption with this. You really get used to the taste without adding anything. It’s also the cheapest protein with a balanced amino acid profile ( ie similar to meat or whey) on $/g of protein that money can buy by a factor of 10x vs steak and something like 2 to 5x vs whey. If you’re on a budget, pea protein should be your go-to source of protein.

Quality veggie based protein powder
It’s definitely protein and works as a plant based alternative to whey. Personally I really struggled with the taste/texture of this stuff. If you’re used to whey, it’s much different. I’ve had better success with mixing it with other proteins so I have diverse sources in my shakes and it’s not all whey. Works great for that. Overall, it’s good stuff and works for what it’s intended but not tasty for me.

Somewhere between love and hate it.
Mixability & Texture • Dissolves easily when blended, even with the two-scoop serving size. • Texture is slightly grainy, mainly due to visible organic cane sugar bits in the powder. Taste • Neutral—not gross, but not amazing either. • Flavor profile: reminds me of raw, starchy potatoes. • Vanilla doesn’t taste like true vanilla; it comes across more like a generic sweetener. • Overall: not bland, but not pleasant. Price & Value • Bargain-friendly, especially for heavy users (I typically go through 3–4 one-pound protein containers). • Per-pound cost is competitive compared to other plant-based protein powders. Comparison to Other Brands • I usually use Garden of Life Organic Vanilla Protein Powder and have also tried Orgain. • Unlike those, NAKED Pea’s flavor cuts through recipes strongly—even in: Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana smoothies and Spinach Peanut Butter, and Banana smoothies Final Verdict • Initially subscribed to the 5 lb monthly option but canceled. • Still searching for a protein powder that hits the trifecta: good taste, reasonable price per pound, and clean ingredients.
