This system is amazing. No more odors
I had very smelly water and my seasonal renters were complaining all the time. I tried many filters and systems from low cost to high and none worked. This system is amazing. No more odors, chemicals or complains. I wish I could give it 6 stars, because I would. This is the second year and it is still going. You will need to replace the grains inside once every few years which would take about2-3 hrs but it is very well worth it. The trick is to back wash every night. This system is on my well so back-wash is not a problem specially since allthat water is natural and goes back to the nature. Read the instructions and follow it properly. You also need to make sure you backwash back pipe is tied down well since water come out with a very high pressure and it can flop all over.

Platinum 15, A good buy on a product that works
Purchased this system Platinum 15 recently and installed myself. Not a plumber but was not hard to figure out by simply following the instructions, Read them 3 times thoroughly. The instructions will even point out that when customers had plumbers install the professional often fails to read it through and it leads to problems. So a DIY or the professional must read them however simple install. Having done that the install was simple. Since I have 1 inch copper pipe into my house and the machine has a 1" inlet and outlet I was concerned about using 3/4 copper flex pipe, so I called Abundant Flow Water Systems and found the company AFWS to be very knowledgeable. They stated that since the machine even though it has 1 in inlet and out lets it would work fine with 3/4 flex pipe as the valve itself is rated at a 3/4 so really no loss of flow and the machine would work fine for the back flush. The product will be shipped to you in 5 separate boxes to keep the average weight down. It also came with a funnel to pour the gravel in first then the MEDIA! very important. Add water as you go, to remove air. It will take gravel and then 3 full bags of Filox media. Use the funnel and a small step so one can get up high enough to dump in the media with out spilling it. Once I installed the inlet, outlet, and ran my purge tube to a drain, I simply plugged it in and programmed (very simple) the digital head control and activated the system. The end result? Could not be more pleased product was shipped with out damaged( thankyou! UPS) , and no...ZERO.. putrid sulfur smell running through out our 4 bedroom 2.5 bath home and crystal clean water from my own domestic well. As a foot note I would also recommend that one makes sure if possible that your homes outside faucets one uses for irrigation do not run through this filter. I don't know but one may risk overloading it with a larger lawn. I can say for certain with a family of 6 living in my home the capacity due to its auto purging, (no cleaning needed or salt to add) would be more than adequate for even a larger family. Cost? I had a Culligan system that operated in the same manner it was 20 years old, however it finally broke, and the Local Culligan dealer wanted 4500.00 dollars to replace. Since parts were obsolete and too expensive. By the time I got done with the Platinum 15 system I was in it about $80.00 in parts from the local Hardware store, in the entire project about $1250.00 that included shipping. 25% of the cost with a system that actually works. I rise in applause to this product, AMAZON, UPS and Abundant Flow systems in supplying this product. So far So good. 5 Star rating in my book.

Had orange water in the toilets and bad smells all over the house
Wow. Had orange water in the toilets and bad smells all over the house. Well water test revealed ferrous iron among a few lesser things. This filter was simple to install (although very heavy - be ready with a scoop if you can't lift 50lb bags) and the team was able to assist me over the phone when I needed to make sure I was doing it right. Now reading 0.0ppm iron! Toilets are white. Laundry is clean. Dishwasher is running better. Showers don't spray orange for the first 5 seconds. Bathtubs fill up clear. You get the idea - Couldn't be happier. The only snag I ran into, because this was my FIRST ever filter install, was that I didn't put the distributor rod all the way in early and/or hold it down enough as I started filling the tank with resin. My recommendation to first-timers would be to remove the gravel that ships in the tank, put the rod in, and firmly hold it to the bottom of the tank as you pour the items (gravel, then resin) in. This is what I called about, after I realized the rod wasn't in all the way and the tank was loaded with about 150 lb of resin. They gave me some tips for how to correct it, and it was simple enough to resolve.Amazing customer service, and we have crystal clear, odorless water throughout the house now!!!

A déconseiller.
