Tripp Lite ISOBAR12ULTRA

Ok, 5 STARS, no quality control issues. Everything I expected from Tripp Lite and more. I have two Isobar smaller units in white, so was I surprised when I lit up my. I was using the white outlets that provide the cleanest and possibly extra protection, and I had removed the plug from Isobar 8, minutes before, I plugged in my AVR. But the same disc was in CD player and the power was the only difference, this was not expected. The sound difference fantastic, clear, crisp. I have known professionals who have sworn by these, and unless you have a very noisy or overloaded circuits this is the way to go. I will buy another when I build the rack holding recording stuff, at that point I will have all my audio/video on Isobar units. Great Deal! Amazon at the price they are offering, it is the lowest I have seen, this is a great product and at this price there is nothing even at double the price that would compare. At a Trade Show someone had an open one and this Isobar system is truly built. I cannot say you will not read negative reviews, but I have had people call me with questions that affected my sanity, I was left speechless, one person offered me a blank check to sort out his nightmare, amazing* . This is a GREAT DEAL, Amazon does it again. READ INSTRUCTIONS and adhere to the 30 foot span from breaker box. * I decided no amount of money was worth it, LOL now. These are fantastic. I have them for my home theater system, my hi res music system, and my computer setups. I had one for a few years and the reset button broke, I called them and they sent a new replacement without any questions. I was going to have them repair the reset button, but they just sent a new one. You can't beat that kind of service. They are still working great one is about 7 yrs old now. Ted

Great product. I use this unit for my sound gear to protect mixer, equalizer, effects and speakers. also allows others to power up during venues with protection for thier gear.

First time I'm reviewing a product for Amazon and that's because after a year of using it I'm going to be buying a SECOND one. Read: second. As in, the first one is amazing and I love it but my music studio just keeps growing and I need neater and more organized access to power mounted and not on the floor... Some issues I had were I feel the plastic cover over the power switch is ugly and useless and also hard to open. Depth of the unit is also sort an issue, making plugging and unplugging devices sort of tricky if you haven't planned for it and/or have deeper rack gear right next to it. also, the isolated "off-white" outlets make very little if any difference from the black outlets. Another user reported there's game damaged (one of the rack mount ear's was bent for them) and I found one of mine to be bent as well. 2 seconds with pliers fixed that, the email to amazon, the shipment returns, and waiting for another unit to come to me. Perfect service with shipping? Probably not but I don't care. I trust my 2018 Mac mini, 2 dell monitors (screens), 2 powered Yamaha studio monitors (speakers), my Focusrite clarett 8pre, and my prophet REV2 all to run off this thing and have it be a safety net for whatever may come through the power sources. I even charge my phone on the front with an 18watt charger AND charge lithium ion AA batteries for my mouse and keyboard with no qualms at the same time.

One of the server rack mounts were bent. The box wasnt damage. It looked as if this was a return or previously used. A larger issue is the 4 Isolated Filter Bank outlets dont work. Product is defective. Sending back for another.

I researched many rack mounted surge protectors before I decided on this one, and I'm glad I did. Price was my biggest drive, but the quality and visual appeal mattered as well. This one hits the nail on the head. The indicator lights on the front are nice, and the separated protection zones are a bonus. It has been protecting my server for about a month now with no issues.

I bought the 20A version of this some time ago and it seems to work well. Equipment has survived the Florida brownages so far (2 years). I recently purchase the ISOBAR12ULTRA and it is equally well made, very large and thick power cord however it has the same problem as the IBAR12-20ULTRA which is the plug is too weak for the very thick power cord. It starts to fall down soon after. For the price they should use a flat type connector at an angle so that the cord does not have additional leverage. Ideally it would be nice if the power cord were detachable. Even nicer if they have a port for a remote on/off switch. It is a great product and I have come to love the brand tripp lite cause of there quality products and customer service. This works well and I used it in a rack to power a Tascam receiver butler xt2 led light system cat6 switch and a few other items. it isn't deep so keep that in mind, don't sandwich it in between two deeper items as it will make plugging devices into it impossible. No problems yet and will update if it fails or a storm takes it out.

I live in an older area with many trees and overhead hydro wires that result with many power interruptions and outages. I did considerable research when I selected the Tripp Lite Isobar12 Ultra Surge Protector. It is a well built unit (not made in China) that offers quality protection with 10 outlets from the rear that I can connect all the various plugs, and leave a very clean and uncluttered look from the the front. I have removed the rack mounting ears and attached rubber bumpers on the underside. Very pleased with with the Tripp Lite build quality, features and equipment protection to date!

There are many different types and kinds of surge supression outlets, but this is the best one I found in Joule ratings plus it has four noise filtered AC plugs. Installed it soon as I got it, works great, the AC cord is nice and long too so you can route it nicely with some snap ties. All in all this is a great heavy duty product, which is exactly what I was looking for.
