This was the first time using one of these replacement plugs. The strain relief that the clamping portion provides is great because I was worried about tugs on the cord causing issues with connectivity inside and becoming a fire hazard. The hardware inside felt high-quality and ensured a secure connection. The casing closed nicely and the job was done! It may seem intimidating, but if you take your time, use the proper tools, and follow the instructions, you'll have a lasting repair! I haven't tested it in the elements, but given how nicely the case sealed and the general design, I have no doubts that it could handle dust, dirt, and abuse. Highly recommend!
