This filter is not made for the 4" container
The foam filter does not come as shown, and it is too large for the 4" container. It's too long and its diameter is too large. One can compress it to fit, and maybe that's the normal process, but then the container, which is cheaply made can't hold it (it comes apart with the slightest handling because the meager threads holding the flimsy plastic halves together can't do the job). I cut the filter to make do, and if that's supposed to be the process, this should be described in the product information. I will not order this filter again, and I won't order the container again.

Needed but pricey
They cost a lot for what they are and need to be replaced every 18 months or so.
