Lovely illustrations but lacks titular protagonist
This is not a Coretta Scott King biography. Instead, it is a treatise on the American Civil Rights movement that lightly features Coretta Scott. Not until the final page -- a 300 word epilogue -- does the reader actually learn where and when Coretta Scott was born. Yes, the use of the other "n-word" "Negro"/"Negroes" is initially jarring, but is appropriate for the time period. The illustrations by Kadir Nelson, as usual, are breathtaking.Edit: Added image of first two pages.
