I have four kitties that are used to getting fed 2 x a day. I got two of these, each one set up for two kitties. I let my husband do the programming. I feed each cat 1/4 cup in the AM and a 1/4 cup in the PM. A quarter cup equaled 6 portions, so he had to play with it for quite a while to get that portioning figured out. After a couple of days, I kept finding the bowls in other places in the room, so to fix that, I ended up using lumps of Gorilla glue removable putty under the bowl holder, and under the bowl, as well as under the actual feeder to keep everything in place. Since I did that, nothing has budged. You can record your voice calling the cats to dinner and it will play a few second prior to feeding, but 2 of my kitties are formerly feral and both thought that it was horrifying-so they ran the other way. I ended up just turning off the recording. I evenly distribute a 10lb bag of food and with each cat getting a 1/4 cup, it lasts about 9-10 days. I’ve been using this exclusively since early November and the cats weights have stayed even and the timing has stayed precise. There is a built in battery for the clock so that even when we lost power, once it came back on, the feeders were still on schedule (HOWEVER IT WON’T FEED YOUR CATS IF YOU LOSE POWER). A bit of A trick to sync up the two feeders, and even then, they are about 30 seconds apart. Once the food dispenses, it sounds like someone hit the jackpot on a slot machine-so that’s fun. Overall, for my four cats, this was a great purchase and the portioning is so precise, I feel it saves money by not allowing waste. My cats are 8 years old (3 of them) and 7 years old (one), and I’ve had them since they were little. Adjusting to the new feeders didn’t take them very long, once I got the voice turned off.

I wanted to wait a little bit before posting this review. I got this particular feeder because I have two cats and I was in a slight time crunch because I wanted to try this out before I went on vacation for a weekend. I got it programmed relatively easily (helps to have read other reviews prior to setting up because the voice activation thing would have confused me.) The feeder was going for a few days as expected before vacation, but just to be sure my cats wouldn't starve I also put some extra food out.I can happily say that the feeder is still going consistently for over a month now. This is all I needed it to do and it's doing it well. My only issue is that I may end up getting a second one at some point as my cats are fairly territorial and prefer to eat separately. I believe I can take the separator out and have it dispense to only one bowl.My only complaint is that it's not quite heavy enough to push in the buttons one-handed - you have to hold the unit down with your other hand. However, the lid locks and I think it is heavy enough to where my cats won't be able to knock it over and get some extra food (they haven't yet and I don't think they will.)Overall I'm pretty happy! Great for going on short vacations and also nice to not have to be woken up in the morning to hungry cats.

Update: over time the little feeder propeller at the bottom that dispenses food has had multiple pieces snap off and now it’s jammed. Was great at first but it wasn’t meant to stand the test of time because of all its plastic pieces.This thing is great. It was super easy to set up and adjust after setup. My cats were incessantly waking me up at 6am and I’d wanted to get an auto feeder. I read other reviews for this WellToBe one and saw some people had trouble with it but decided to try it. So glad I did. My cats caught on quickly that I no longer pour the food and when they hear the food being dispensed they go eat. Recording the sound I decided to use a gong sound effect from my phone. It took a little adjusting to get the portions right but I think now we have a good balance of many small feedings which helps with overeating and barfing. I also like that it has the double spout and two bowls which stay in place. My kibble does not have a problem with becoming stuck. My only complaint is the latch to the lid is flimsy and mine slips off the knob that provides its resistance. It’s easy to put back on but it would be nice of the latch was better. So minus one star for that. Other than that I love it and that problem wouldn’t be enough for me to not buy it. I would definitely recommend this feeder.

This is my second automatic feeder and so much better than the last. I got it because my two cats really don't like to eat out of the same bowl - and I'm a sucker for their desires. The bowls here are really big, large dog sized, but work fine. A number of features I really like, large number of quantities to feed (48), large number of times per day to feed (6) and it does NOT lose its programming every time you turn it off - like my previous feeder. A few things I would prefer, although certainly not deal killers - and they would be hard to include. I would like ceramic dishes, I would like the ability to designate a different food for each bowl and the ability to set a different quantity for each bowl. A pipe dream and would be very hard for them to do. As is, will work very well for my needs - when I am away from home. MY feeder did not demand that I set a message - perhaps they fixed that. Seems very solid, came intact and easy to set up. Battery backup works well - it was not mentioned, but it uses 4xDcells. I'm happy with my purchase and I think this should work for me a long time.

Llevo usándolo solo 1 semana pero hasta ahora no hubo problemas. Tu escoges cuanta comida quieres que dispense y cuantas veces al día. La grabadora funciona bien. No le he puesto pilas aún pero con que se mantenga enchufado todo bien. Si lo desenchufas de la corriente no se borran las configuraciones.

Funny thing is, they sent me an email prior me receiving the product. They told me that in order to make the robot work, I have to turn it on via the switch. I honestly thought they thought I am an idiot but once I got it, I realized why they sent me an email. The on switch is actually hidden underneath the feeder's opening. I re-read the email after (cause I hadn't done it properly) and I saw that they made sure to explain where it is located lool. Anyways, it's an awesome feeder. What I love the most is its memory. Even if you switch it off, it still "counts" the hour/keeps in mind the portions. My cats survived thanks to it, when we went on vacation (+a friend's help of course for litter and water needs). I highly recommend it :)

I loved that this item can be programmed to provide food at times of your choice. Also, the quantity of food. I adore thé fact that we have recorded a message so when it’s feed time, the cats hear my voice and go running to the feeder. It’s so easy to clean and holds a lot of food if you are away for a while. Best thing we have ever bought for the cats. I no longer get woken at 5.30am for feeding as I programmed the first feed of the day for that time. I also programmed it for a snack mid morning snd late evening. I’ve not been groomed for food by our cats since using this. Love it.

I've been using this cat feeder for a week and I'm very satisfied by its performance.I've filled the dispenser with Purina dry cat food (which are fairly small croquettes) and I've noticed no clogging or malfanctioning, and the croquets are equally distributed between the two plates.My cats have already tried to pry open the food container with no success!Conserning its function, it is important to pre-record a message, because otherwise the food is not delivered. We just recorded our cats names.Overall I'm very satisfied with the dispenser's performance

Compré este comedero pensando en mi familia de gatos y en cierta comodidad a la hora de volver tarde a casa. Siempre había tenido cuencos normales y estar todo el día limpiando los cuencos cada vez que les daba lata o comida humeda era una monotonía algo aburrida.Ahora con el comedero inteligente puedo relajarme un poco ya que se que no les van a faltar los cuencos y la comida.Los primeros días he estado muy atenta a que el comedero fuera bien y a su hora, ya que necesitaba sentirme segura de que no les va a faltar su comida diaria en caso de llegar tarde a casa. La verdad que me ha sorprendido lo bien que va...Tiene un gran deposito y puedes regular las raciones y el número de veces.El mismo día que me llegó lo monté y configuré, sin instrucciones porque era muy fácil de configurar. Tiene exclusivamente 7 botones y cada uno con una ilustración de su función. Empezando por la derecha, el primero es un micrófono, que sirve para grabar el audio que quieras que se encienda cuando toque la hora de la comida. Los tres siguientes son de temporizador de tiempo, el primero es de la configuración de hora general y los otros dos para cambiar las horas, uno para minutos y otro para horas.Luego el siguiente botón en dirección a la izquierda, es uno donde puedes hacer manualmente que caiga la comida sin poner hora concreta.Los dos últimos son para calcular la cantidad de porciones y el último para ir moviéndotelo entre las raciones por horas.La verdad que el comedero es muy fácil de usar y configurar. En cuanto a la limpieza, es una autentica maravilla también. Se pueden extraer los dos cuencos de acero para limpiarlos y en caso de querer limpiar a fondo el comedero todas las partes menos la parte del motor y lector, se pueden desmontar para limpiar sin problema.(El deposito del pienso, los cuencos de acero y los cuencos de sujeción de plástico)Ya conocía la marca y estoy encantada con la marca y sus productos, todos muy fáciles de usar, sencillos, y muy bien pensados para la hora de higienizarlos.
