I loved this story
I loved this story. I was immediately hooked by the scene in the parking area in which Shinobu, the handsome chauffeur, is fed candy by some of the young women who attend finishing school with Sayaka, his mistress. For the most part, it is a pretty standard romance formula, but the interesting, original and lovable characters, both main and secondary, make it seem different. The protagonists, Shinobu and Sayaka, are not standard romance novel characters and Sayaka's best friend the daughter of an earl is both strange and delightful. It's a wonderful manga --- humorous, warm and suspenseful. Further, the action is resolved in an unexpected way.

Loved it. I thought it was a good start with an interesting story. I shortly found out that it's only two volumes, sad.
Loved it.

Review- This is a very cute story. Sayaka is a cute heroine and Shinobu is very sweet. They were friends as children and now they are young adults with all the expectations of that on them. The stories in this volume are mostly about Shinobu being seen as less than because he is servant and is from a poor background. Sayaka is very modern because she believes that people are not where they come from or how much money they have. So she gets into trouble with her opinions but she gets rescued by Shinobu a lot. But it is a very sweet, cute story and I look forward to the next volume with them.I give this volume a Five out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

Very good
~4/5This is a historic series, and while I’m not usually a historic reader, I don’t mind it here. Though the setting isn’t given a lot of depth, and might not even be fully accurate. That’s not a big deal to me. Mostly we get the clothes, little technology and modern ideals, and more modesty in society. It is very pretty, too.Sayaka goes to an all-girls school, and spends a lot of time with her chauffeur Shinobu, making people think indecent things. Even when Sayaka is being bullied and unsure of things, she still stays strong, though. Even when everyone around her scolds them for her chauffeur going where he shouldn’t, and questioning whether they have an intimate relationship, she doesn’t back down. She stays strong and defends him and herself. I do admit that Shinobu saves her more than he should, but I kind of think it’s a fault on him and his protective instinct, not because she can’t defend herself.I particularly admire that when Shinobu is forced to be punished, she even takes that on herself so no one else can do it, in a way to protect him. Her inner strength and smarts is nice to see. I’m really looking forward to picking up the next and final volume and seeing how it ends. There’s also a one-shot at the end of the volume, and it’s a cute story about siblings forced to repay a debt and trying to get out of it. It had a relatively surprise ending that I appreciated.A review copy was provided by the publisher, VIZ Media, for an honest review. Thank you so, so much![More of my reviews are available on my blog, Geeky Reading, to which there's a link on my profile.]
