Quality.
I love this thing and a hardly ever use it. I've had it for a few years now and have never had an issue with it. I have also never completed a single project that I have set out to make with this binder. Operating it is very simple and straight forward. If you've ever used a regular paper punch, it's like that. But way cooler. It's heavy duty, easy to use, and great for craft projects.

The Bomb!
Going to save so much money with this thing! I am always paying to bind PDFs for one reason or another, and it's expensive. It's true, the coil inserter runs a little too fast, and it isn't perfect. But coiling by hand is simple to do. The machine is really sturdy and incredibly easy to use. I am going to start binding my own personalized, lay-flat, 8 1/2" x 11" journals now. Let's face it, I am going to bind anything I can think of. This thing is so cool! And with the $40 off coupon, the value factor is huge. I almost bought another highly rated machine for $318. This machine was still more than 50% less without the discount. The Tianse Coilbind BM-S2050A would be worth every penny even at full price.

Solid piece of equipment
This is a solidly built manual punch coil binder. The action to disengage a pin is simple and effective, and the coiler (the only powered bit) is well made. I anticipate getting a lot of use out of this machine.

Easy to use; hole punch is manual
I write music, and this is exactly what I needed to coil-bind my own scores. No more bringing stacks of pages to the copy center and waiting weeks to pick up the finished project -- only to discover that they put in some of the pages upside down. Now I can do it all at home This punches nice, clean holes, and the long side of a standard 8.5"x11" sheet can be punched in one go. I use a lot of "legal size" paper -- 8.5"x14" -- and those require two passes. But everything lines up perfectly, so that I was able to do dozens of stacks of these long sheets with no mis-punched or off-center holes. A couple of modifications would make this a five-star product: * When I saw the electric cord, I assumed that you would just push a button to punch the holes, but that's not the case. There is a manual pull-over lever that works the punch. The electricity just spins a little grooved cylinder on the top of the unit, that assists in loading the plastic coils through the holes punched in the sheets, which is cool, but not really necessary. Motorizing the punch itself would be a definite plus. * Making the unit a bit wider so that it could punch 14" sheets in one pass would be useful. On the other hand, that would make the unit larger, and more difficult to fit in tight spaces, so maybe it's fine the way it is. * Some clear instructions on how to use the odd set of pliers (included) to dress the ends of the coils, would be handy. I had to go to Youtube to figure this out. Finally, be aware that LONG coils don't seem to come in sets of assorted sizes. Each set is 100 (or more) of one size only. Since a set can run you $30 or more, if you need several sizes, this could be expensive. OTOH, 11" coils DO come in assorted sets, so if you're never binding anything longer than standard letter-sized sheets, it can be fairly economical. Over all, a good, well-built tool, which does what it's supposed to do, and does it well.

Awesome Binding Machine, Fantastic Customer Support
This product is amazing! I work at a retreat center and I have to bind books frequently for our guests. This machine is sturdy and easy-to-use and it has saved us tons of money by binding books ourselves. Our machine arrived with a motor that wasn't working as expected and we reported this to the Tianse customer support team and they shipped us a new machine in the matter of a few days. They were incredibly responsive. We love this product and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a binding machine!

My homeschool helper
This binder is super useful for organizing packets, workbooks, and printed projects. It’s satisfying to turn loose pages into something that looks polished and finished. It saves time (and money) versus going somewhere to bind. Great if you make planners, homeschool materials, or business packets.

Fun for kids
I bought this as a classroom gift for my son's teacher. She was thrilled to have it and told me the other teachers have been borrowing it as well! They immediately had a class project to make their own books, which the kids loved. It works well. It was pricey but it seems like it will last a long time.

Not the best!
Not that great! The part that punches holes is still manual. The only electric thing about this is the part that makes the spiral binding go through. Even that, you still have to insert it 3-4 times before it spirals through
