Solid build, clear purpose, and responsibly designed
This is a well-made, thoughtfully designed less-lethal option for personal safety. The build quality is solid in the hand, the ergonomics are intuitive, and everything arrived exactly as described. It’s clear this product is meant to provide a serious deterrent without crossing into unnecessary territory, which I appreciate. Setup was straightforward, the materials feel durable, and the overall design inspires confidence without feeling gimmicky or overengineered. For anyone looking for a non-lethal personal safety tool from a reputable manufacturer, this does exactly what it’s intended to do. Important note for buyers: this is safety equipment, not a toy. Take the time to understand local laws and proper, responsible use. Used correctly, it fills its role very well. Overall, satisfied with the purchase and the quality delivered.

Super powerful, easy to load, solid, accurate
There’s a really popular brand out there and they sell for 4 to 5 times the money. They also have a clip that you have to remove and carefully load and then put back in. This particular item does not have a clip, you actually load it straight into the underside compartment of the barrel. And it uses the larger CO2 cartridges. I was expecting something rather flimsy but this is very well crafted. This thing is an absolute beast and it is accurate.

Peace of mind
I live in an area that has become overly populated with homeless individuals. Being homeless isn’t the issue in itself — the problem is that crime in the area has increased significantly because of it. Because of that, I wanted something that would help me feel safer without relying only on my firearm. I purchased the Prepared 2 Protect HDP 50 for that exact reason, and I’m honestly impressed. I have already done target practice with it and it shoots beautifully. It’s powerful, accurate, and very intimidating looking, which is exactly what I wanted for a home defense option. The moment I handled it, I immediately felt an added sense of protection. Another thing worth mentioning is that it actually comes with CO₂ cartridges included, so you don’t need to buy those separately right away. Mine came with three cartridges, along with both rubber rounds and pepper rounds. Overall, it gave me an immediate sense of security and confidence. If you’re looking for a less-lethal option for home protection that still feels serious and effective, this is definitely worth considering.

DANGEROUS PROUCT - Literally Exploded!
Initially I loved this product as it was easy to use and quite powerful. I also liked the compact size. However, about halfway thru the third air cartridge it started to malfunction. I would pull the trigger for one shot, which would come out fine. But the next time I pulled the trigger it wouldn't shoot the ammo, it just let out a puff of air. I looked closely and noticed the loading latch came loose. I re-latched it and fired another shot, which came out fine. But again, the shot afterwards was just a puff of air. The latch had come loose again. This happened over and over. Finally, when it was out of air, I went to replace the cartridge. I unloaded the spent one, but when I loaded the new one it didn't have a hard stop as I screwed it in. It kept spinning and spinning, so I realized the threads are stripped. I wasn't able to unwind it, so I will never be able to remove the cartridge that is currently loaded. I sent it back to Umarex and it took them over two weeks to replace. When I received my replacement it lasted exactly three cartridges before having the same issues and the threads stripping again! Either they just disassembled/reassembled my old one and shipped it back to me or these are just junk! The third one they sent literally exploded while sitting on my office desk in the middle of the night! And it wasn't the air cartridge that exploded. It was in tact, but the gun exploded into six pieces, shearing the bolts off. Nobody had touched it since the morning before, so this item is a serious safety risk. I sent a message to the same customer service agent who I dealt with previously to report this serious matter. They have ignored my emails and have zero interest in investigating what caused their product to explode. I'm just thankful it didn't explode when anyone was near it, because if there had been it would have caused serious injury.

A must for cheap practice. 3 cents a round after initial ammo purchase.
I was skeptical due to price. Bought it used, like new for 85.00. The quality is outstanding and looks good to. Feels polished, no rough edges. Holds 6 rounds and easy to load. CO2 will run 3 mags worth, 18 rounds. Will do 2 or 3 more but at much lower velocities so i just degas it which is very convenient. Most have to have allen screw wrenches. This one you just push a button on back where the firing hammer would be on real gun. Haven't noticed any leaking from co2 canister so far. Bought reusable nylon projectiles and made a box target to catch them after i wasted 100 rounds before i realized they are reusable. Now i have it down to 3 cents a round to stay in practice for my real guns. Ammo is expensive now. The manufacturer says use only pepper, rubber and powder balls but reviews mentioned shooting or stuff. I figured fo 85 bucks I'll take a chance on ruining it but it shoots nylon, plastic and aluminum balls effortlessly. The aluminum balls for some reason won't fire with 6 in reservoir but i can put as many as 3 in at a time. Was mentioned on other reviews. The plastic are almost as aggressive though. Put dents and almost penitrated a 55 gallon steel barrel. Both aluminum and nylon. May not kill but would sure make you squall i bet. LOL

It hits hard, slight chance a ball dont chamber, may not be all that accurate, immediately starts leaking slowly co2 when striked to arm meaning you have to use it within an hour or whatever
