Battery and SD card NOT accessible with this L plate.
What everyone is saying is true. The cutout for the battery cover is way to narrow, preventing it from being opened all the way. This small opening for the battery cover prevents the battery from sliding out. The battery will push against the door and you will have to shake the camera a lot to get the battery to come out. And since the battery cover won't open all the way, there is no way to get the SD card out. It's a crappy design, they should have refined the design before selling this item. I had to take a small file and grind down most of the front corner of the battery grip to get the battery to slide out freely, but even after all the filing, the SD card still can't be removed.I would have giving it 1 star, however, I mainly got it for the extra 1/2" of grip and for that purpose, it's doing OK. I wish someone would come out with a battery grip for the A6300. My pinky finger hangs off the edge which causes my hand to go numb. This L bracket provides alittle more gripping surface which is the main reason I got it in the first place. And as stated, it is Arca mount compatible and mounts to my tripod with no issues.LEOFOTO, please fix this issue by cutting out the battery compartment opening alittle more.

True the get access to the SD card you do need to push a bit on the battery door to get easy access to that slot.
Hello all, I wanted to say that some of the new reviews are not 100% accurate, can you remove the battery without issues yes, can you insert and remove the SD card without issues mostly, true the get access to the SD card you do need to push a bit on the battery door to get easy access to that slot. True if the factory would have made the metal L bracket like the Sony A6000 no issue at all, because they made the battery access plate straight and this one is curved and with the flexible battery door you can quite easy push the door some to get access no problem! So I removed 1 star for this design but 1 huge advantage over the RRS L bracket that cost way more but it does not go all the way to the grip side which I must have so this L plate my right hand has that extra good feeling as with just with camera only my pinky finger hangs off and I don't like that, but with this L plate which I use on my RRS BH-40/55 ball head fits fine and makes the A6300 much nicer to hold so for less than $30 this is a great item!Don't let past reviews are keeping you from buying this is the worlds first full coverage bottom plate, and I would not expect a redesign on the L plate for awhile do to the redesign cost and if they do it could cost much more so trust me you love this L plate!Christopher

Don't buy until they make a revision
Like the previous reviewer said, doesn't let you open the battery SD card door all the way because of a defective design. The highlighted corner that prevents the door from opening all the way only needs to be extended outward maybe 3mm at the most for the door to open completely.Do not buy until they revise this issue.

Cannot remove SD card.
Another review echoing what others have said. you either need tweezers or have to remove the plate entirely to remove the SD card. This is a disappointment. I had a similar plate for the a6000 and the only reason I could not use it on my 6300 was because the HDMI door was blocked. Well, this L-plate solved THAT issue, but created a new one.Everything else about this plate is good. But if you can't get your SD card, what good is it ?

The design is defective as described by others. The battery door does not open completely, so the SD card cannot be removed. Hopefully the design flaw is fixed in the future since this bracket seems well made, fits well other than the battery door problem, is light, and fairly priced.

Great fit. SD card slot is a little tight
Great fit. SD card slot is a little tight, but you can remove the card. Fits all my different Arca clamps (travel tripod, monopod, and full size tripod).

Be aware of this issue.
This is the only L-bracket I could find online that cover the entire bottom of a6300 including the battery/SD-card cap. BUT, don't expect to extract your SD card out of your a6300 with this L-bracket installed since the bracket prevents the cap from opening completely.
