Works as advertised, excellent product for the price
I use it on myself, I learned how to measure my own blood pressure with this kit.Works well so far, just as advertised, two weeks in use.Consider the following: 1) Cuff is a bit oversized 2) Pressure release valve is to sensitive 3) Numbers on dial are small .

Works great! Comparable to other sets I've used from my class
As someone mentioned previously, the stethoscope comes disassembled, but once you put it together, it works perfectly. I tested it about 10 times for class and I can hear the pulse clearly. The stethoscope comes in 3 simple parts easily put together by hand with no directions needed (probably takes a minute or two). The blood pressure cuff, on the other hand, is ready for use straight out the box. It works great as well! I'm currently using this set for my EMT class and compared it with other sets provided by my school and it works just as well as any of them.

Good instrument at a great price
This bp cuff works well and appears to have an accurate gauge. The air pressure release valve is a little touchy, so one needs to move the knob just slightly to release pressure at the right speed (about 2 mmHg/sec). The stethoscope is quite adequate for hearing the Korotkoff sounds that indicate systolic and diastolic pressure readings, but it is certainly not "cardiologist quality." All in all, the kit is quite good for basic bp measurements and is priced right.

Great Quality Unit at an inexpensive price
As a nurse I regularly use sphygmomanometers and when asked by a friend to help her purchase an inexpensive unit for personal use I searched for a quality unit that she could afford. I found this unit and ordered it and upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the unit. We tested this unit against much more expensive units that I regularly use and found it up to par, if not better than some others. I would recommend this unit.

Broke after using 1 semester
It gets the job done. It is cheap. Mine did not last long. It broke during at the end of my first semester in school. The stethoscope itself still works (hopefully it continues to work).

I bought this as set for my son to play ...
I bought this as set for my son to play with. He loves playing doctor. I wanted him to have a real stethescope and for the price of getting both a stethoscope and the bp cuff this couldnt be beat. I have not utilized the bp cuff as of yep, but hope to ise it once i hit clincals. The stethescope does work. It is a bit muffled sounding but it gets the job done.

Great product
Works great for such an inexpensive product. I got it for an EMR course and it's hasn't failed me yet. Comes with a super cool penlight too. Don't like how the clip on the gauge opens upward, though. Have to have patient hold it when taking BP, which wouldn't work in an emergency situation. Other than that, it works great.

Cheap, needle drops too fast
I’m in nursing school and when we had to purchase our own cuff I found this one. I thought it would be good and I liked that it came with so much. But I never used the cheap stethoscope and the cuff I found that you would have to go all the way to the right to pump it up and it was nearly impossible to slowly depress it. Often it would drop right away which make it difficult to get blood pressure from it. I ended up having to get a new one. The pen light is a pen light but I have to keep it unscrewed because in order to turn it on you just have to apply slight pressure to the clip on it which means if you throw it in a bag it will probably stay on and waste the battery.
