Great Emergency Radio -- Works Well and Good Value for Price
Great emergency radio (2021 Newest Design MD-090P; size: 6000 mAh). Tested all features except i-phone charger and all work as advertised. Sound is clear, lights are bright, SOS sound loud. AM, FM. weatherband all work. Attractive design. Tangerine color is bright enough to enable you to quickly locate radio when needed, yet not that eye-popping, traffic-cone orange that would make you want to hide it. Compact, but feels substantial. Quality workmanship (not cheap). USB cord that came with it works on my devices. Hand crank glides easily and effortlessly. Haven't let the radio run out of power, so haven't yet tested the amount of cranking needed to charge radio. Would have liked a horizontal handle or thick strap on top, but wrist strap with carbiner on lower right enables you to hang light above you so it's facing downward in an emergency, which could be helpful. NOTE: If you have AM on and flip up the light, the tiny blue lights on the front will also come on and then go off after 30 seconds. For those 30 secs, you'll lose your AM and get static, but don't touch the dial, AM will return after 30 secs when blue lights go out. Glad I purchased this Running Snail model for my emergency radio.

Great tool!
Works really well. Sos alarm is loud. Lights are surprisingly brighter than what I expected. Love the solar panel and the option to crank generate. The ability to use batteries makes it even better. Great Am/Fm reception as well as local weather news/bulletins. This will make a great gift. Rugged enough to take on a camping trip, small enough to latch to your rucksack and move out.

Aaaaaalmost wanting some kind of an emergency to try this out!
For the size of this radio - it's not much bigger than box of half a dozen eggs - it really sounds pretty nice. Much better than the transistor radios of the 1970s! In an emergency, though, sound quality really doesn't count for much but it is good the volume goes up pretty high. The emergency siren scared everybody in the house when I tried it - I think the people across the other side of town probably heard it. The blinking SOS signal also worked very well. The three levels of light are enough to land an airplane by themselves. I'm not able to attest to battery life because I just got this a couple of days ago and it was already halfway charged. Hand cranking it for a few minutes didn't light up another button on the battery power indicator but I didn't put much effort into it. I'm going to let it drain and see from there.

Good product.
April 2024... 2 years later & this is still a great product. The battery still holds a good charge. Love the LED light on top. Definitely worth the money.March/2022 original review... I'm very happy to have a hand crank radio/weather radio. Overall, happy with it- good volume, lights have come in handy multiple times already. Sound quality - it's what I expected - kinda tinny.Don't understand the SOS button but hope to never need such a thing. The battery indication is untrustworthy- turn it off & on and the number of indication lights changes (+ & - ).For Southwest Ohio, and because I keep a close eye on weather - I chose to not get an "alert" weather radio - but I suggest if you're in a tornado prone zone to get the alert radio. I probably will get one with the alert (when budget allows) to keep in my car while traveling (just in case cellular networks go wacky).

Great little tool
I use this mainly as a light for camping. Primary light is bright, battery lasts all night, solar charging works ok, radio sucks but works. Hand crank option works but isn't super practical.

Crank breaks easily
I have had this for a while now, First time I went out with it it worked GREAT but within a few hikes the crank broke without me even using it. First time I went to use the crank it just snapped internally. If you are buying it with the intent to consistently use the crank I would advise against it, for all other uses it is a great product!
