Mine is a wf8955/pec is this the same or what is the difference in pec and mba

PEC is the whole enclosure. MBA is just the main converter/charger board mounted on the slide-out tray.

Is it Ok to go to 55 amp unit from a 45 amp?

Your fuse that sits on your unit near your batteries may require an up grade. I would also say check your battery water more often.

If the wiring is the same it will work. Installation is a breeze.
