Check your bolts, 18-8 (304) stainless is not magnetic.
I ordered a set, checked them with a magnet when they came in and sure enough they are magnetic. Did a replacement set, replacement set looked to be the same bolts with a different sticker(stating stainless) over the original sticker(stating steel)???? Checked the 2nd set with a magnet and they are magnetic also.304 stainless steel is not magnetic. What little iron is in 304 stainless remains in the form of austenite or gamma iron. Which is non-magnetic.
