Is this flexible and small enough to make a 90-degree turn going down through the clean-out into the main lateral?  Both are 4-inch PVC.  Thank you.

You should not have a problem with a 90-degree turn but it will not do a "U" trap!

Question 2

How does the pressure that builds not escape through roof vents that are before the clog??

more information is needed.  What pressure are you referring to?  you have to push the drain king through the pipe, past the vent, up to the clog.  slowly turn on the water until the bladder expands.  Pressure will build between the clog and the front of the drain king, due to the slow release of water.  If pressure does not build, it is because the water is either washing away the particles clogging the line or the line is not compacted enough to restrict the low volume of water.  Try increasing the water flow.  Too much pressure can cause the drain king or the pipe to rupture.

If the 3" pipe is round it can be used.  DO not turn the hose on all the way, the restricted flow will cause the bladder to expand and this can break thin wall pipe.  Usually the bladder will break in the middle before the pipe if the flow is too high.

Question 4

My questions are: 1. what is minimum pressure that will inflate the H34 to plug a 3-inch pipe?  2. What is maximum operating pressure?

I only know that, I used the house hold pressure at my residence which I believe is about 40 lbs. and that it worked fine. You might get by with less pressure but you, because I think you would be able to blow up the bag with less pressure but you need at least that much to blow the line clean, depending how long the run of pipe is.  For the maximum pressure, you would have to get that information from the manufacturer. You have to remember that the pressure is not constant on the bag because some pressure is escaping through the end where the water is coming out ! I had to clean about 28 ft. of pipe. Have a good experience. I used this system where used to worked. God's Blessing on day ! ! ! Also, I stuck the bag into the pipe about 6 ft. and after washing for 10 minutes, shut off the water and moved it 6 feet further and keep repeating this until the whole pipe is clear. Measure the length of pipe and put a marker on the hose. I guess that is all now !
