Tetra EasyStrips 6-In-1 aquarium Test Strips, Water Testing (19542)

Considering that it is quick, easy, inexpensive and straightforward and gives one a pretty good rough estimate on the complexities of my water - I think therefore that it is worthy of a five star rating.

Work great for quick, frequent, water quality tests.

I always read people saying these aren’t accurate.. for me they always line up with exactly what my master kit says. I test with these once a month then every 6 months double check my parameters with the API master kit. If something looks off with the strip test, I’ll verify with the master kit but really have never had the strips be wrong. They seem very accurate & convenient to me, as long as my Angels don’t peck at it when I put it in the tank 😂

This is a pretty good product. I don't expect a strip to be perfect; I expect it to save me the hassle of mixing up chemicals in vials, etc. These strips do exactly that and the numbers seem to be pretty accurate based on comparisons to standard nitrite/nitrate/etc. kits. Each pad has six testing surfaces on it that measure six things, depending on whether you're testing salt water or fresh water. However, the chlorine test and one other test are labeled on the result strip as just for fresh water. It doesn't say if that means the chlorine test doesn't work at all in salt water or if the company thinks you just don't need to test salt water for chlorine (which you don't normally, but if you had chlorine in your tank you'd definitely want to know that immediately). However, you can easily use the chlorine patch only with fresh water from your tap and then use the rest of your strip in the tank. That isn't a big deal, but it's something to keep in mind. Finally, most anyone testing nitrites, pH, and nitrates in a salt water fish scenario would also want to know what the ammonia level is. This strip doesn't test that; Tetra sells a separate strip for that. It would be better if they were on the same strip or if the ammonia strips were more reasonably priced. Overall, the strips are what I'd expect from strips: fairly accurate, fast, and very convenient. The are a decent product, but they could have been better.

These test strips help me a lot with monitoring the water for my fish. It's so simple to use, just dip it one second and wait for a minute for the result and compare with the color chart! The color chart is very easy to read as well! I have all the other solutions ready so whatever is out of balance based on the results I just add to the water even with all the fish in it. I use this twice a week and I do partial water changes every week. I initially bought the bottle with 25 strips but now that I see how really useful it is, I'll be getting the 100 strips bottle on my next order. There's also more savings with the 100 strips bottle. So far all my fish have stayed healthy and I wouldn't go without this as my helper! Really good product!!!

Great for the price and the accuracy is really good. I did a test on distilled water and my tap water and it showed me my tap water is actually way too basic… very helpful to have on handy.
