Single handedly saved my skin!
I use this every single day! I have oily combo skin & was having horrible hormonal cystic breakouts and wearing this primer completely dried it up. It’s my new favorite primer, and I’ve used them ALL due to being in the makeup and skincare field for years. Not sure I’d recommend it for dry skin types. It’s smoothing and not heavy. The only thing I would caution against is putting several heavy products or mineral sunscreens on before this primer, and rub it in well. Also make sure to stay on top of your exfoliation or the primer may give less than desirable effects with your makeup. Overall: LOVE IT

Love it!
I have very oily skin but this primer helped my make up last all day while in the sun at the ren faire.

Flaked off???
I have tried a few different primers in the past, but this is the first primer that “rubbed off” when I applied my foundation. What I mean is—I showered and moisturized my face like I ALWAYS do. I used this primer and then, as I was applying my foundation, it all started flaking off my face. Like the way your skin flakes off when you exfoliate, except it wasn’t my skin… it was a combo of this primer and my foundation rolling and flaking off. I was so confused. It’s not a one-time occurrence. This has happened a few times while using this primer and I’ve never had it happen when using any other primers. Obviously, that’s going to make my face look patchy and with flakes all over it, which I do not want. So weird.

Great value
I really like this product. Havent had breakouts. Not sure if this is keeping them away but I would like to think so.

lightweight but comes apart
I thought it was just my concealer but this makes anything you put on it look patchy Lightweight and smoothly applies on skin. Burns a little bit, maybe because of the Salicylic acid. Is a little bit blurring for pores, but not too much. Only problem is if I apply my maybelline concealer on top of it and try to blend it out, the primer falls apart and the application is patchy. Then I have little specks of product in the area that I have to brush off. If I pat the product softly to blend instead of swiping, then this happens less often.

Amazing!
Very lightweight and makes my makeup noncakey. I love this so much, definitely recommend!

Flakes/Rolls Off
I really wanted this to work well. I tried it a few different times. I always wash and moisturize my face and let it set in before applying primer. But whenever I try to apply it to my face, it will just roll up and fall off, or flake off. It doesn’t set into the skin, and just leaves flakes of the primer all over your face, and ofc that means it doesn’t help keep makeup on longer, either.

Conditionally recommended based on ingredients
TLDR: A good product if you don’t have any issues with the long ingredient list My wife and I are trying to remove chemicals from everything we ingest or put on our skin, so we pay a lot of attention to labels. I’m a canary in a coal mine so it’s especially important that I use natural products, lest my skin breaks out and turns interesting colors. Given the lack of testing requirements for cosmetics, and the often unsubstantiated claims for efficacy, I typically evaluate them based primarily on ingredients, and secondarily on cost. There are simply too many individual variables to determine how it’ll work on each person. I checked every ingredient in Milan’s Primer on the Environmental Working Group site. They rate every ingredient for cancer risk, allergy concerns, toxicity, and use restrictions. The best products will only contain ingredients rated 1 (best). The scale they use is 1-10, and anything above a 2 is a potential concern. I found the following problem ingredients: Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate (1-2) - Use restrictions (low), Non-reproductive organ system toxicity (low), and Contamination concerns (high) Propanediol (2) - Enhanced skin absorption, Endocrine disruption (low), and Irritation (skin, eyes, or lungs) (high) Phenoxyethanol (2-4) - Use restrictions (moderate), Non-reproductive organ system toxicity (moderate), Irritation (skin, eyes, or lungs) (high), and Occupational hazards (high) Polysorbate 60, emulsifier (3) - Use restrictions (low), Non-reproductive organ system toxicity (low), Irritation (skin, eyes, or lungs) (low), and Contamination concerns (high) While there are not any significant issues, these are chemicals that could easily be replaced with more natural alternatives. So if you buy this try it out on a small patch of skin to see if you have a reaction to it. Overall I like the product. It is a bit pasty and goes on tacky, which I don’t love. But salicylic acid has been shown as effective against acne and for exfoliation. So if you don’t have any bad reaction, you’ll likely have good success with this product.
