This shredder definitely came in handy during a cookout I had. You know you're old when you get excited over a shredder and this did not disappoint. The options this has is amazing and the container at the bottom made it so much better. I like how Amazon reviews has "Ideas" listed beneath for Value of Money, Grating Speed, Sharpness, Protection, Ease of Cleaning and Quality. Quality - This thing is solid. Even with the container on the bottom, everything feels sturdy and I was able to shred a 10oz block of Cheddar within 5 minutes using the finest setting. Grating Speed - How fast can you move your arms to grate the cheese? The speed depends entirely on you. Sharpness - It's a cheese grater, the sharpness is perfectly acceptable. Had no issues grating. It's not a scalpel. Protection - This thing comes with a non-slip rubber lining on the bases (both the shredder and container) and the handle as well. Although the lining comes off, which I would recommend when you're cleaning/washing and allowing dry before putting it back on. Ease of Cleaning - I run it under hot water + soap and use a regular sponge to wipe clean. Inside is big enough to get your hand in and wipe down. Everything is opened so it's easy to get the water in there to rinse off. I expect my relationship with this grater to grow as time passes. We will be an unstoppable force in the kitchen. I can't wait to see what else I can slice with the other settings.

Also, the handle is similarly coated - small design touch that actually has an outsized ergonomic effect. When grating a large volume of stuff (e.g. when I recently made potato pancakes), it felt comfortable to use for a prolonged time. Decent value given what I paid for it.

A good grater, substantial in size, good weight, fits well in the hand. However, the little cup that comes with it doesn't fit securely on the base, so if you're really grating something it just kinda slips off, tips over, and spills contents all over the counter. But it is dishwasher safe, hasn't rusted, and has held up well. So I still gave it 5 stars, just don't count on the little cup. It's a cute lil cup though, and can be used to store stuff you've grated.

Great quality and perfect for the occasional shredding of cheese. I don't shredd cheese very often but when I do I like the grater to be sturdy.

Grates every size easily. The rubber grip really assists in keeping it from sliding around! The removable container is great, as you don’t have a mess on your countertop. Very well designed and the price was good. Highly recommend.
