Heck of a Product
I too support broadcast and was certainly delighted to use this tool in field. You can see in the picture that it does support a 1080i feed from broadcast. Adding the be extra battery and cable made even more field versatile. There’s no product out there that I can see that does confidence monitoring, conversion and signal generation for close to this price.

Installing SDI without this? ARE YOU CRAZY???? (I was)
Camera variations, long cable runs, various converters..to HDMI... any point in the chain can lead to failure, and without something to look at the SDI picture and do some basic testing, you are TOAST! Do not put yourself in that position any more. This little unit is a bit pricey for the occasional installer but it is worth it.For Example: What if you purchased some Thor SDI cameras and those "magic" HDMI converters. You hook it up and no video. Is the SDI good coming out of the cameras? With this GoFanco scaler, you can know in seconds. (And when the $90 "magic" converters still won't work after software configuration, get the generic $35 SDI to HDMI converters and you are on your way to paying for this device) .I have not even configured the features yet, just hooked it up and looked at the video..;)

4:3 screen and poor eye pattern display
Would make a great Christmas gift toy for a child, besides that, piece of junk. Can't even use it as a monitor because it has a 4:3 monitor and the eye pattern is fictional.

It works brilliantly!
I have been looking for a small robust SDI HDMI tester for some time to use in the field. Testing inputs LED screens, monitors, camera feeds, commissioning systems, this tool is a must. I have only had it for a week about now and my tool box is not only much lighter, but I feel more confident knowing I have the right tools for the job.Menu's are a synch to get used to. The only thing I wish it would have would be the ability for a battery pack or a rubber case with additional battery pack.

Doesn't work
I work in television broadcast. This monitor has never, ever worked for me. I tried multiple sources that were successfully feeding other monitors, and this monitor doesn't display anything. I thought maybe there was a menu setting or something I had to change, but no. It just flat out does not work.
