I’ve used a few of these Tapo bulbs now and they’re always spot on. This 2-pack is great value and, like the others, they were really simple to get connected to the Wi-Fi without any fussing about. The app is straightforward to use and the colours are brilliant—you can get the lighting exactly how you want it. They’re reliable too; I’ve not had any issues with them dropping out or losing connection. If you have the capability to add these to a dedicated 2.4ghz Wi-Fi network then you'll definitely benefit from that, but if not, don't worry as they still work fine on normal Wi-Fi. If you’re looking to smarten up your lighting, you can’t go wrong with these.

I’ve been really impressed with the Tapo L530B smart light bulbs. Setup was surprisingly easy, they connected to my home WiFi right away without any hassle. Once they were online, pairing them with Alexa only took a minute, and they’ve been super reliable since. The Tapo app is also very straightforward. Changing colors, adjusting brightness, and setting schedules all feel intuitive. I especially like how responsive the bulbs are; when I give a voice command through Alexa or adjust something in the app, the lights react almost instantly. Overall, these bulbs have been a great addition to my smart home setup. Easy to install, easy to use, and they just work.

Works well most of the time, but (and I'm stressing that this is rare) sometimes it has an issue connection to the internet and can be a little difficult to reconnect, this does not prevent the light from operating like a normal light bulb though by turning it off and on at the switch you can still use it to light up a room, you just lose the ability to adjust brightness and colour until you can get it reconnected. this has only happened a couple of times in my ownership. That slight annoyance is the only reason for the 4 stars. If you haven't used Tapo products before, this light and I assume most of the Tapo ecosystem have the ability to have smart features without needing a home assistant like Google nest or amazon Alexa. You can set schedules up for the lights to come on at certain times, you can monitor how much energy the lights are using, there is an away mode that will turn the lights on and off randomly between whatever times of day, to mimic someone being home to deter prospective thieves, and you can set timers to have the light turn off after an amount of time has passed, good for if you like to fall asleep with a dim light but don't want it to be on for the whole night.

Love these bulbs. Our hive bulbs constantly disconnected and were at least twice the price for one. Slowly scrapping all our hive products and moving over to Tapo. We now have 8 of these bulbs in our house and experience no issues. They fully compatible with Alexa and my daughter loves the colour range. She is Audhd and loves lights that change colour. It’s also great that you can set them all to the same colour or change each one individually. We are definitely a Tapo family and will continue to use and recommend their products to everyone. All of the products we have from Tapo outperform the price by miles.

These smart bulbs have been super useful for me and now have quickly become part of my everyday routine. Being able to turn the lights on and off from my phone is way more convenient than I expected, especially when I am not in the room or want the lights ready before I walk in. The colour changing feature works well and is easy to adjust in the app even though I mostly stick to the normal warm light for day to day use. When I do want a different mood or softer lighting having the option there is a nice bonus. What really sold these bulbs for me is the scheduling function. I use it alongside my work alarm so that every morning when my alarm goes off, the light turns on automatically at the same time (great for us lazy people haha). That extra light makes a noticeable difference and helps me wake up faster rather than laying in the dark pressing snooze. The app is clear and reliable and once the schedule is set it just works without needing any adjustment. Overall these bulbs are reliable and easy to use without any complicated setup. They respond quickly, save energy and integrate smoothly into daily life rather than feeling like a gimmick. For anyone looking to add smart lighting that is actually practical, these are an excellent choice and well deserving of five stars.

I have a dual 2.4 and 5GHz NOW router. I have a Tapo security camera, 4 of their smart plugs and now 3 of their B22 colour change light bulbs. They all work almost flawlessly and have never randomly shut off or gone wild. The bulbs all set up first time within a couple of minutes. I live in a small 2 bedroom, semi-detached house and find one bulb per room excellent in terms of brightness. I love the colour change ability and feel like the cooler, daylight mode helps with the winter blues on grey days. I have scheduled the bedroom light to come on at 6am with my alarm during the week. In auto mode it starts at 5% brightness and mirrors natural light, which is ample and gentler on the eyes when you're waking up. I don't use Alexa but using the Google voice commands on my phone is great. You need to link and organise your Tapo devices within Google Home before you can do this. This is straightforward in the app, but remember to redo it if you move the bulbs around. I've also been able to share all my Tapo devices with my girlfriend so she can control them too. You can still turn the light on/off at the manual switch. Just be aware that turning off at the switch will disconnect the bulb until you turn it back on at the switch. You can set the default "on" state so that every time you turn on at the physical switch it will instantly go to that same brightness and colour setting like a normal light. There may be a short delay in controllability on the app whilst it reconnects. If you frequently want to control the light from another room or whilst away, don't use the physical switch.

Very handy to use. The Tapo smart bulb is easy to set up and works smoothly with the app. Convenient and reliable for everyday use.
