Well made white kitchen sink drain strainer
This is definitely white and not "off white" as stated in "about this item" description. Another reviewer described it as "more cream colored than white" but no it is actually white as shown in my photo of the white drain strainer in our cream sink. It feels like durable plastic and fits our original drain base. Our old plastic drain strainer broke apart after 20 years of disinfecting it in dishwasher. Hope this one will last as long. I'll skip putting in the dishwasher for now. I like that it fits our original drain base, because I didn't want to mess with removing the original drain base for fear of the new base not fitting exactly or leaking. Happy that this strainer fits our original drain base. It does exactly what we need, it strains food & prevents food from clogging up the drain. It can easily be lifted to toss the food in the trash.

Dangerous design to cause a big leak
Short pipe insertion means you cannot secure the pipe well and caused leaking. If you see the image, only 1/4 inch space left for inserting the pipe hence it's very weak. ## update ## I decided to give one star review because this product is NOT usable and durable. Like I've mentioned above, the short insertion caused the tailpiece wiggle and not securely hold in place. I am aware of this flaw but was too lazy to return. Now I've paid the price. Big leak and I have to clean them up

Well made. Would recommend.
I installed a black composite sink several years ago and always had a problem keeping the metal drains / strainers clean. Had not seen a composite drain / strainer. These are well made and were easy to install and you don't have to worry about scratching them. They match the sink perfectly. The only thing that cold be improved is if the white foam gasket were black and/or smaller diameter. As supplied you could see it. I trimmed it down slightly and now you can't see it. Highly recommend.
