My husband is diabetic and had an open wound on his foot that wouldn’t stop bleeding after minor surgery (because he is on blood thinners). Hydrofera Blue was the first layer (right next to the wound) of the dressing the nurses at the wound care clinic applied. They told me to change the dressing every few days. It not only helped with stopping the bleeding, but it also helped to prevent infection due to its antibacterial properties. I will be keeping a supply of this among my wound dressing supplies from now on. It comes as a large dry sheet that you can cut with sterilized scissors to the size needed. It is then wet thoroughly with sterile saline solution, which causes it to expand to a thin, blue foam; then you apply it to a wound before adding gauze and tape. If you have an open wound, you should see a doctor as soon as possible, but this will help with urgently needed wound care or between doctor visits, if used as the doctor directs. It should never be used instead of getting medical care, but only as directed by your doctor.

I wish they sold the ones already fluffed out & thicker bc even when adding water it doesn’t really get any thicker.

first of all it got to me two days ahead of when it was expected. it is an amazing product for would healing. look at the instructions on line you can cut it to fit, in my case i only need to use about one tenth of the square per application. i am using to it treat a stubborn spider bite infection. that at the time i started using these had been on my leg for well over a month. in the first week after using these it healed by at least 50% talk with your DR or wound healing center first, but they are worth the money, i wish they had smaller than a 10 pack, but it gives piece of mind to have the extra around.
