Amazing quality!
This is a fantastic monitor, I have been using it for almost 10 years now and it still works perfectly. I use it for playing games, art and watching movies on. Gaming on it is nice, it's capable of displaying rich color and a great picture. It's vibrant and bright without any flickering or lagging. Still to this day the picture is clear and sound, it functions beautifully. LG is a great brand for monitors, and I would happily purchase another one again! Overall, this monitor was well worth the value as I have gotten so much use out of it over the past 10 years. Phenomenal quality!

Really nice entry level 4k monitor
Really nice entry level 4k monitor. I was a bit hesitant to buy this one because of the lack of reviews around the web. Decided the price was worth it and might as well give it a try. Turned out to be a great purchase, not perfect but still really great. I've been using it for doing art and animation, and of course 4k gaming. It's color isn't as nice as a 90%+ Adobe RGB, but LG's S-IPS panels still have great color, a step above most monitors, especially around this price point. Gaming is a dream on this thing, so sharp and crisp, truly glorious. Here are some Pro's and Con's: Pros: -4k... duh -10 bit color (8+A-FRC) -S-IPS panel (great viewing angles) - 99%+ sRGB (measured as NTSC 72%) gamut. - Freesync (only works with AMD cards as of now) - 5ms on an IPS panel - 60hz - Black stabilizer setting, can bring out the details in certain dark images. - HDCP 2.2 Cons: - Only 3 inputs, 2 hdmi and 1 display-port (would have liked 1 more display-port) - Has an anti-glare coating (it's not very aggressive like some I've seen, but still can cause slight distortion when viewed from above/below at extreme angles) - At250 cd/m2 it's not on the high end of peak brightness, but not bad either. Update 1: I thought it might be handy to add a little section on setting up the PS4 Pro with this monitor. I took me awhile to realize how to get it working to display at 4k. You need to have a newer hdmi cable (2.0, the monitor comes with a short one) and you need to enable the setting for HMDI UHD deep color, this enables RGB 4:4:4 chroma signals to pass over HMDI so it can talk to the PS4 Pro. This setting is under Menu>Picture>Picture Adjust>HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color. This setting is common among LG 4k devices, so if you have an issue on another LG product w/ ps4 Pro, make sure it's enabled. You may also need to change RGB settings on the PS4 Pro to "Full". Update 2: I wanted to update with the settings I found best for my panel, in terms of color and brightness, etc. May not be universal, but could give a ballpark of what you may want. Brightness: 69 Contrast:67 Black Stabilizer: 35 RGB: Red: 55 Green: 53 Blue: 53 Six Color: RedH: 50 RedSat:61 GreenH:55 GreenSat:61 BlueH:62 BlueSat:62 YellH:51 YellSat:55 MagH:52 MagSat:62 CyanH:50 CyanSat:58

My first 4K monitor and the best one I've ever seen! (Read whole review for gaming/daily use review of the 27" monitor)
The screen is amazing and crystal clear (I haven't changed the settings at all, I've been using what they set it to). For the price of $296, at the time (Late November), it was perfect and still is! The text even looks amazing on this display. The custom color adjustments LG did to my monitor (as it came out of the factory) make it look rich, and accurate with its colors. I've had no problems with this display and it was worth every penny. The stand does tilt up and down a little but not much. There is no height adjustment on the monitor (None of these are cons to me; I don't need them). It is only at 60Hz, however I'm not going to spend like $500 or $800 on a 144Hz 1440p or 4k monitor. Most of them are TN panels and this is IPS. Honestly, everyone I know doesn't "just game" on their systems (which TN is supposed to be for). They use it for web browsing, YouTube, word, etc. With having multiple uses for my system, IPS is the main choice for me and has never let me down. The colors on IPS are accurate and better than TN. Sooner or later, with-in the next five years, 4k will be like 1080p/1440p is today for gaming. Nvidia is releasing Volta in early 2018 (from what I'm reading) and it's supposed to be able to handle 4k way better than the Pascal cards can. Although, currently I do have a Maxwell, EVGA GTX 960 SSC 4GB, which I overclocked a good amount (it's stable) and I'm getting very stable frames (no screen lagging at all on Rainbow Six). I have the settings on high with no problems (I could go higher but I'm limited to 4GB of GDDR5). Yes there is small amounts screen tearing here and there, however this is just temporary. I'm planning to either get a EVGA GTX 1080 SC2 or waiting for the Volta cards to come out. Honestly, the Maxwell cards are already out-of-date in a way. The games are demanding more graphics memory today and the Maxwell cards are running low on the amount of memory available. Especially with higher resolutions, the graphics card and computer will need more RAM. People have been recommending 16GB for system RAM and at least 6GB of GDDR5 for the graphics card. Hope this helps!

Does the trick
The monitor works remarkably well, beautiful crisp picture. Great for gaming and movies. This monitor comes at a low price point so great entry level monitor for some 4k gaming. The only issue I have with mine is a slight backlight bleed on the bottom of the screen right in the middle. You can't see it most of the time but when that particular section of the monitor is supposed to show black there's a slight glow encompassing a couple square inches on the bottom edge. I decided it wasn't enough of a nuisance to send the monitor back but that will cost them a star.

No dead pixels and easy to work settings. Only downside is the very limited adjustments you can make with the base; no horizontal and limited vertical. The stand is also a curved-U shaped, which can be awkward is some setups. However, this is one of the cheapest 4K monitors you can get, and it comes with the nice colors of an IPS panel to boot.

WOW! Great monitor with a great picture at 3840 x 2160 res. No dead or stuck pixels!! Not great on deep blacks but not that bad. Very happy with this monitor. Highly recommend this monitor for someone on a limited budget that wants a really good monitor. Very happy with this purchase. P.S. I'm not a serious gamer so I can't comment on that part but others have said its great!

Good picture quality for anything except gaming. 60Hz is insufficient for smooth gaming even with FreeSync. Also keep in mind that RX580 8GB is not capable of 4K gaming at 60Hz on pretty much everything except CS. And AMD is yet to release graphics cards good enough and affordable enough to fill the gap. Nvidia cards do not count as they do not support FreeSync. So this monitor may be OK if you're planning to upgrade your graphics later, or if you have dual RX580 system or if you only play at 1080p or if you don't care about gaming at all. Other than that crispy picture and great colours are very satisfying. Glossy black plastic bezel and stand looks much cheaper than the monitor cost. It shouldn't bother most cause the main thing to look at is on the screen, not the display itself. Menu is convenient to navigate with joystick. Great improvement over traditional 4 buttons.

I've been using a dual-monitor setup (23" and 21") using LG displays and wanted to upgrade to 4k to help with video editing I do. Knowing how nice my previous LG monitors are, I settled for this IPS panel. I had considered a similarly priced Samsung display, but that one used an TN panel and viewing angled would have been bad. Out of the box, it is color calibrated, but I did a manual calibration using my Spyder 5 - it went from 97% SRGB to 99% after manual calibration, so the color accuracy is very good. And considering this is an IPS panel, the viewing angles are very wide. The 4k quality is excellent - everything from games to video content looks amazing, but it also helps to get more content on your screen. Props to LG for including both an HDMI and displayport cable in he box. The included stand is nice, but not high adjustable - only swivel. There's a single button to navigate the menu which is on the bottom center of the panel. I would have loved to have seen this on the left or right bottom, but it's not a big deal. The built-in settings allows for all kinds of adjustments and everything from volume to color to brightness/contrast can all be adjusted through the display. I did install the LG monitor control software to make adjustments from my PC - it works well, but isn't necessary. I love this monitor so much that I ended up purchasing a second one :) For the price, the value can't be beat.
