Dependable.
Been using this product for years and will keep using it as long as Terro keeps making it. Works well for keeping carpenter ants from destroying your trees and home. I have alot if trees and years ago noticed these carpenter ants were making my trees into there home which started to kill the trees and they were working themselves over to my home and getting into the wood siding and entering my home. Don't have the funds for an exterminator so tried this product and never turned back. It's works as described on the container if used as described. They come back every couple years and all it takes is a treatment of this and they disappear. Great product as an alternative to exterminator. Also want to add that it holds up to light rain but noticed if heavy downpours it seems to wash away alittle so another application may me needed but it don't take much to reapply. Waterproof yes but not under continuous heavy rain.

#1 killer of ants
We usually don't have too much trouble with ants. I put baits out when the rain comes in the spring and that usually takes care of them. We did have one weird issue where ants invaded one of our power supplies in our office and ruined it and some other electronics. But that is the only real issue where there were too many ants. So this year, I had the liquid terro baits left over from last year and I put them out in the spring. Worked great! Never saw any ants. Then June came! I have never seen so many ants just literally crawl under my patio door! Now they did die eventually because of all the baits I had out - but I did not like seeing them crawl across the floor. I never saw them in any other room - but I was so tired of it. I was vacuuming them up everyday. I got out the borax. I used the "natural ways." Nothing worked. I bought this dust just out of sheer disgust with the situation! I poured it on the outside of the door (as recommended) and inside all over the floor where the door opens. And then I waited and waited and waited. I never saw another ant. Not even a dead one! It rained very hard the night after I poured this outside! It still worked! I do think you should wear gloves and a mask while spreading this dust. I did and did not have any problems. Also, the dust is kind of hard to spread evenly as others have noted. But that is minor compared to how well this works. From now on, I will keep this on hand and use it every spring to start with.

My go to ant killer
This is my go to ant killer for the outdoors. I use it around the perimeter of the house with extras around my garbage cans and compost bins.

The ants hate it!
Just what I needed to get rid of ants who were tunneling underneath my new paver patio and making mounds of sand in the joints. They definitely either died or were persuaded to move out. Yay! Just one word of caution……the arborvitae next to the patio were affected, turning brown on the side that faced the treated area. Probably my own fault. The bushes survived and are coming back….but not the ants!

It works, kills carpenter ANTS and BEES
Terro Ant dust does work, I was able to capture a few carpenter bees and ants in a plastic jar and put a small puff in, like very minor that you can barely see it in the jar. At first they were fine, but I could see they were trying to get something off by cleaning them self or scraping their butt on the ground. In about 10 minutes they are dead, curled up and dead. I've tested this with about 12 ants within a 2 week span, with only the initial dust to kill them all. I guess its good that they die slower so that they can take some of the powder to their nest. So if anyone is wondering if this works for ants and bees the answer is yes. They don't die instantly but in about 10 minutes of just minor contact with this stuff and they will surely die. Even if they just step on it, it will get into their system and kill them. I attached some pictures and you can see there are only like 3 or so crystals of the ant killer and it just killed one, tested today.

It's okay. Didn't work as well as we hoped, although there seems to be less ants. I'm still hoping it will eventually get rid of them if we keep using it. We'll see.

It works!
We had a serious carpenter ant infestation behind our fridge. I was killing about 10-20 a day. Sprinkled this powder behind the fridge and down the sides. I saw one ant that evening that was covered in powder and one that had somehow not been touched by the powder, and that was it. I haven't seen a single ant in the last 2 days. Feeling relieved!
