Fishpond Quickshot Rod Holder

Q: Is this compatible with the Fishpond Summit Sling?

Yes, it’ll work on a Summit Sling. I don’t use it on my Summit Sling. I use it on my waterproof pack, but it has the capability.

Q: Is this version 2.0? The picture is version 2.0, but the description says this is still the old, poorly designed, version of this rod holder.

This is the new version with the buckle rather than the magnet.

Q: Can this be attached to the Fishpond Waterdance so that I can have a free hand for tying on a new fly?

While the Quickshot is designed to attach to various Fishpond packs, the Waterdance isn't one that it's natively compatible with. The waterdance is lacking the 4 way connection point that the upper part of the quickshot is designed to secure to. Technically the bottom part could be attached to the pack, but it may hot hold the rod like you're wanting.

Q: May seem like a dumb question, but can this Be used with other styles of rods not just fly rods?

Hey Chris, not a dumb question at all. I see no reason why it couldn't as long as the butt of the pole can fit through the loop. Cheers!
