Chamois Cream

After having used another popular chamois cream for a while, a friend turned me on to this. This is a "European" style chamois cream that has a little bit of a numbing agent included. This has been absolutely awesome on 10 hour long gravel rides such as Unbound and Big Sugar. You can immediately feel the cool numbing agent when you apply it. It is thicker than the other popular brand, and for me, that means it does not get diluted as much through sweat and prolonged periods in the rain as what happened at Unbound in 2023. I knocked it down to 4 stars for two reasons. #1 is the cost, as it is more pricey than the other popular brand. #2, is that it only comes in the big tub, and not in smaller packages that you could throw in your pack somewhere. As I have done multiple 10 hour rides this year, I have had to carry the other brand's smaller individual packaging with me because Assos doesn't have that smaller option. At Unbound that didn't matter as much as my wife met me at the 124 mile mark, but that wasn't the case at Big Sugar or The Rad where I didn't have a crew. But, I will continue to use this as my main chamois cream despite those two drawbacks.

Works Like it Should

Absolutely love Assos’ chamois cream. It is a little pricey, but it’s worth it. Tried another popular cream that was less expensive… ended up ordering the Assos before I even finished the tube of the other brand. The Assos just works better for me. Goes on easily and lasts a while. That said, I don’t do really long rides, 20-50 miles typically. Never had a problem with it. It’s clean and not greasy.

Initially, feels a little cool on the skin, not a cheap buy, makes long distance rides tolerable, I used it for years now. The item was packed in a plastic bag, apparently not a good way to ship it: the lid cracked.

I personally prefer this stuff to Chamois Butt’r. I typically don’t bother for shorter rides, but on longer rides it really makes a difference.

Apply before every ride. Great product. Used this for years.

Sono anni che utilizzo questa crema ed è efficace prima e dopo all' uscita in bici,evita arrossamento e rigenera la pelle lesa del sopra sella. Non lascia macchi sulla biancheria. Costa ma ne vale la pena acquistare questo prodotto.

Perfecta para evitar rozaduras y molestias en el sillín — desde que la uso, los paseos de 2-4 h ya no me causan irritaciones. Se extiende fácil, no es grasa, tiene un toque de frescor al aplicarla y dura todo el trayecto. Vale la pena para rutas largas o frecuentes. Aunque su precio asusta al principio, con poco producto ya tienes suficiente, así que al final resulta rentable.
