This thing works so well I had to double-check it was actually on. It’s impressively quiet—like ninja-level quiet. If it were any quieter, I’d be wondering whether it was powered by thoughts and prayers instead of actual engineering. Build quality is solid and feels made to last, with a secure fit and no leaks. The clear housing is great too—it lets you peek inside like you’re inspecting a tiny science experiment, except everything is working exactly as it should (a rare joy). Easy to install, whisper-silent in operation, and rock-solid performance. Honestly, the loudest thing about this item is me telling other people how good it is. Highly recommend.

I recently had to replace a 20 year old sump pump and I initially made the mistake of not replacing the also 20 year old check valve. I went ahead and ordered this relatively inexpensive part. Installation was super easy. No need to worry about screwing this on a threaded PVC piece, I just slipped the rubber ends on and tightened the metal bands using a flathead and it was nice and snug. Once I turned on the new sump pump, it worked like a charm and super seamless! No leaks and it was really quiet too! I love that I can also visibly see the little stopper that’s inside. Save yourself the labor costs getting a plumber to install, you can do it yourself with YouTube and some good ol’ fashioned manual labor.

I had ZERO issues installing it. Fit great. And it cycles great, too. The sump pump runs less, at the times it is needed. And so far, no leaking back past that rubber flapper check valve, which is critical. My only concern is its longevity. It’s clear plastic, glued together. In all my decades in engineering, that’s can be a weakest link. So that’s why I rated this 4 instead of 5.

This check valve is incredible. My old one sound like a giant thud everytime it ran. This absolutely silent completely eliminated the hammer noise

This is one of the few pump valves that has a clear mechanism in order to view that everything is working properly.. since I've installed this I get no more knocking from back pressure and no more drain from backfilling. Everything fit perfectly. Item seems high quality and well constructed. I love that this valve came with rubber rubber connectors and clamps. I haven't seen this item anywhere at any of the home improvement stores.. so if you're going to get one you should probably get it here. Time will tell if the glued seams on this plastic item hold up. But the plastic was strong enough to crank down on the clamps nice and tight.. I would buy this product again if I needed to.

This is an excellent upgrade to basic check valves. It is almost entirely silent and prevents the loud thunk you get with regular or simple check valves. It's a premium high quality product that seems very durable for long term use. Installation was incredibly easy and simple with everything you might need.

The sump pump that came with our house was quite loud and had a normal check valve that had a massive THUNK sound every time it engaged. Our sump pit is in the room directly below our boys room so it would wake him up occasionally, which was not a good time. I replaced the sump pump with a Red Lion RL-SC50T which is also VERY quiet, and this check valve is indeed silent. I used to be able to hear the pump and check valve from anywhere in the house, and now I can only hear it from a couple feet away. If the loud thunk sound drives you nuts and you currently have a loud pump, I'd buy the combo of the Red Lion and this check valve...... It's been great and I can't recommend it enough. Install was super easy as well; 3 wraps of teflon tape, thread it into your pump outlet and clamp it to your existing ABS or PVC pipe and you're good to go. Couldn't be easier. I've had this installed for about 3 months and it's still quiet and working great.
