Works great.
The volume seems to vary if I turn the speaker under my pillow.

Very very weak speaker. :(
At max volume I could barely hear it couple inches from my ear. If it's that quiet there is no point putting it under my pillow which is what I bought this for. My ears are very good. I can hear a fly fart from 10ft away.... I guess the best way to explain the sound quality is plug in a little wired cheap microphone into a headphone jack and thats what it sounds like. Disappointed. :( I had cheap pillow speakers back in the 70s and they were 100 percent better than this one. Things were built better back in the old days. Built good and built to last. Ugh...

Best one I've bought so far.
First time with any pillow speaker that I have had to turn down the volume on my old ipod. This is plenty loud, even under a thick pillow. Yes, it's a little bulkier than all the others, but you won't need it right under your ear. It also seems built better with a more substantial cord. Let's hope the cord doesn't break at the jack like all the others I've bought recently. Liked it so much, I just ordered another one. Don't need it yet, but when you find something that works good.....

Had one like this year's ago but it finally stopped working
Had one like this year's ago but it finally stopped working. Went thru a few others over the years but this one is my favorite by far. Great sound, not to clunky or uncomfortable to have under your pillow.

Not enough volume.
Well made speaker, adequate volume control, but I had to put the speaker right in my ear in order to get enough volume.

Minimal volume; broke after 1 year
2 stars instead of 1 star only because I got one year of use out of it. I expect at least a bit more at this price... I know things are made to not last now. Two big complaints:1) The highest volume was not quite loud enough to make out words, despite phone media volume being at max. (I listen to audiobooks.) I'm in my 40s and don't have hearing loss, so that's not the problem.2) I am careful with electronics and don't yank on cords. Yet, the raw cord started to become exposed after about one year of use. See picture. I used electrical tape to get more life out of it. (The adhesive residue from the tape is why you see debris stuck to it. I got irritated and dug this out of the trash to take a pic for this review, lol.)

Nice to listen as I fall asleep
This under pillow speaker has worked just fine with a CD player and recorded books. Nice to listen as I fall asleep and who can sleep with headphones on. Had neck surgery and this was a life saver.Unfortunately it will not work with my current phone.

A great product. Substantial and strong.
I’m very pleased with this pillow speaker. The volume is strong (through a very thick pillow) and the cord is 6’ long. Very durable!!
