5 Pounds Krusteaz Sweet Cream Pancake Mix Just Add Water

I’m pleased that the box arrived safely and with no leakage.I will be trying some of it tomorrow morning. I am sure that it will taste wonderful. We always buy the institutional size of Krusteaz buttermilk pancake mix and we love the taste of that. I always like to add just a little bit of vanilla to the mix and I also allow the batter to set for about 5-10 minutes before using it to allow the batter to expand. So I usually make it slightly thinner than the way I would use it but it always thickens up in those few minutes. If it gets to thick afterwards then add a bit more water and you’re good to go.I noticed quite a few reviews from people griping about the directions on the box. Come on people really? When the ONLY ingredient that needs to be added is water it would seem that it is a no brainer to make. Thin….. Thick….or just right it is a sprinkle of more mix if too thin or a tiny dribble of water if to thick. This isn’t Rocket Science! It’s adding water to a powder and achieving the desired consistency.The directions on the box is for the institutional process to follow to achieve a desired size of a pancake and the amount of batter required to achieve that.Actually this box has more information about making a specific size pancake and how much batter to use for that. Along with a temperature range for cooking. The other Krusteaz buttermilk stuff that we have doesn’t go to that detail.I don’t normally write reviews on products like this but I was setting her amazed by how many people complained about the package directions and wondered if these same people also expect to see directions on the packages of bars of soap on how to use them?I probably will not be updating this review following my tasting tomorrow morning because if I already loved the other Krusteaz then I am sure that I will also enjoy this one as well. I do plan on adding my vanilla to it as well.HEY, HEY, HEY……..I’m back! Closing in on a year since I posted this review. We are getting a little low on our mix and so I need to order some more! YEPPER we love pancakes and waffles and I make them both from the pancake mix. We normally purchase the 5lb bag of the original Krusteaz mix so after purchasing the Sweet Cream Box we found ourselves having close to 10 pounds of pancake mixes. We love the original and the sweet cream but sometimes we don’t want to have it too sweet but we didn’t feel like just having the original stuff. WHAM BAM! Suddenly I have an epiphany……. OMG! My brain is on fire! Could it be.? Honestly could one actually alter the universe’s physical properties and mix the two different powders together and NOT start a Thermonuclear Meltdown? Well, I say it’s about time that someone gave it a super try, so………. After careful consideration, planning and in depth calculation I have determined that the safety parameters are sufficient for such a high risk endeavor. I notified all the local First Responders, local trauma hospitals, neighbors and my furbabies of the possibilities for disaster if during this scientific experiment doesn’t work out. The local Haz-Mat teams were on standby and at the ready to storm in and launch their own protocol for disaster recovery. Possible utilization of the new experimental Magnetic Poler Shield technology that should shroud our neighborhood from possible fallout of the dreaded Krusteaz weapon! Since you can read this update then you will know that the experiment went smoothly and completely without any problems whatsoever. I shall try and explain in detail the process I utilized to make this experiment a success. As follows, the experiment parameters were set, based on the quantity of each of the two components and how intrinsically the 2 can be combined to create a unique and totally new substance, never seen before by any human, until now,The experiment required 3 separate but closely related self-sealing storage containment vestibules capable of withstanding great pressures, both internal and external in nature. After close examination of the 3 containment tanks I made the final decision to commence with my risky experiment. After ascertaining that the original mix has a specific mass and comparing that mass with the new sweet cream element mass, it was quickly determined that this experiment would have its complications but the safety factor was quickly improving. After completely covering my body in a full Tyvex Haz-Mat protective suit, along with goggles and a respirator I entered the testing zone and carefully sealed myself in the lab. Just myself and two, possibly the most powerful powders known to mankind lock into a room of doom? Or Deliciousness? Time will tell.. as I approach the table with the components now within my reach, I thought of how life has been so far and how it will continue, if I have my way! Armed with a highly calibrated device used to control precise quantities I began the slow process of combining the exact quantities of the two mixes. One from each holding container, slowly combining the two ingredients together into the third container, while insuring that the two powders mix perfectly. One careful measurement after another and then again repeating each one over and over again until the quantitive measurement was achieved. Once completed, I stepped back and smiled as I stared at the 3 containers knowing that I had just accomplished a task of the ages and not just the earth but the entire universe has a new day dawning tomorrow and more after that.My hypothesis was correct and that the difference between the two powders, once combined has an effect like no other and I believe could possibly change the trajectory of life itself. In conclusion, I have achieved greatness……. NO NOT ME but the greatness of K.R.U.S.T.E.A.Z. I have now the Original Powder, yummy in nature and I also have the Sweet Cream Powder, the Bakery Smell captured from the Gods of the Galaxy. BUT NOW, with the newly combined ingredients I have created a most delectable and perfectly balanced version of what I will label as “Perfectly Perfect”! What else could I possibly call it? Perfection is Perfection,So! If you plan on attempting to duplicate the process then you will understand the true meaning of life and existence and also will comprehend that it doesn’t have to be too sweet or too original, but instead…JUST RIGHT!Now, I must order some more right now.

Worlds best mix !!!!!

Sweet cream mix is difficult to find in Grocery stores. I love ordering this from Amazon and receiving 5 pounds is a plus

I had a cook friend who turned me on to this pancake mix and I love it! It's incredibly sweet and makes fluffy, delicious pancakes! The only drawback is that you do have to buy it in this huge box with instructions for commercial use. I had to mathematically break them down to household use (i.e. 1 cup water to 0.8 cup mix), but it's still easy to use and has the best flavor!

I freaking love this stuff. Delicious pancake mix that smells as good as it tastes. Highly addictive, so beware! lol

We asked our favorite convenience store what brand of pancake mix they used for their flapjacks, this was it! Not carried by any of our local grocery stores we were thrilled to find them here! Lasted us a long time, love the giant box!

Waffles

I don't feel like standing at a stove making Pancakes anymore.. To much work... So this is what I do instead. I take 1 1/2 cups of this and put it in a glass bowl, and add 1/2 cup water.. Then I add some Hot Chocolate mix along with some Chocolate chips and mix them all together real good.. Once it's a nice thick batter, I put it in the Microwave for 3 minutes... Then I take it out and put butter all over the top, and then poor Syrup all over the top, and then I just kind of of cut it with my fork and mix things around... So easy and quick!! I'll never make Pancakes again!!! So good... You'll buy more!!! You won't want to run out!!!
