The Mark Stephens Yoga Sequencing Deck Review: Great Deck and Perfect Visual Aid for Yoga Teachers - Wonderful deck! The pictures are beautiful and nicely done. The information is clear and informative. There is information about the asanas and how to sequence them together for a routine that flows together nicely. It's a great companion to Mark Stephen's "Yoga Sequencing" book. I highly recommend this for yoga teachers and anyone that wants to deepen their practice and create their own yoga routines. It's especially great for visual learners like myself. I bought this for myself and I also gifted it to one of my close friends when she graduated from her 200 hour yoga teacher training. Edit: I I have now bought 3 copies of this deck. I bought a second one since I gave the first to my friend and then gifted the second to my yoga teacher trainer. She LOVED it and so did the other students in my class. At least 2 of them went home and bought it the same night they saw it. I'm not sure why there are any negative reviews about this deck.....the information is easy to read, there is both English and Sanskrit names of the asanas, and the pictures are impeccable. I really don't think a deck can get any more descriptive as this one or there wouldn't be any room on the cards. Once again, this deck is a winner and a very helpful visual aid. Review: Perfect supplement to my future RYT-200 training! - Fantastic! Honestly, I wasn't really paying attention to the dimensions of these Yoga sequencing cards but was pleasantly surprised to see that they were larger than expected. The perfect size for me to lay them out on the ground while working on a flow for practice. Since I am a visual learner, this deck has been invaluable to me. The cards are made of quality card stock with a slightly glossy finish and features photos of asanas of varying levels of ease and difficulty. On the front of the card is the photo of the posture and in it's English and Sanskrit name. On the back side of the card, it provides detailed information on how to open and how to stabilize as well as provides counter poses to each posture. Extremely helpful! Although I have been taking Yoga on and off for about 8 years, now that I am planning on pursuing becoming a Yoga instructor, this takes away some of the intimidation of what to expect when I go for my RYT-200 training. Highly recommend these cards to every level of Yogi out there!

BEST Yoga Sequencing Deck!
I'm really enjoying this deck! Great picture illustrations of the asanas, so much information and easy to comprehend. This is awesome for yoga teacher training and for someone that wants to know the benefits of each asana. I love that it included the booklet and the formal and informal names of the asanas. Example: Adho Mukha Svanasana Downward Facing Dog I'm so glad I found this deck!

... yoga decks I have seen - and that's a good thing in my book
I was surprised that the cards were so big - they are larger then other yoga decks I have seen - and that's a good thing in my book. I like that in addition to the pose image, they include helpful cues for the poses and additional information on poses to prepare for and counter pose the asana shown. I am currently in a yoga teacher training program and liked having so much information about each pose summarized on one card. You can use the cards to help plan sequences or in various other ways - draw a few cards and build a practice around them. I was puzzled by a few things - for example tree pose (Vrksasana) is in the back bend category of cards.

An aspiring yogi treasure!
We're using Mark Stephens books in my RYT200 teaching class and these make a fantastic supplement. I need alot of visual so these are wonderful. Great quality material for the cards. The pictures are large, some of them even show the yogi with a prop which is useful. Lots of info on the back of the cards and they're separated by pose category.

Missing basic poses
Overall the deck is useful, however it’s missing basic cards like Easy Seat and Cow Pose. I had to create my own so I could see my entire sequence correctly. I bought the deck months ago. Just opened it and started working with them. Had it been closer to the purchase date I would have returned it.

Perfect for yoga teacher training
Such a great deck! Helps me learn the Sanskrit name for each pose. The list of benefits and how to get into the pose is easy to understand. I am currently going through my yoga teacher training so this deck helped tremendously. Highly recommend!

I bought these a while ago and used them a lot when preparing my classes. I still refer to them for inspiration and guidance. I find these the best yoga cards compared to other decks.
