Cover Your Gray Professional Hair Color - Medium Brown

Over the past many years I have tried different types of gray touch up products, i.e. hair mascara. As the years went by fewer and fewer local stores carried touch up products. I went online and found a hair mascara that was just like regular mascara and washed out only when I shampooed my hair. It was really good but I recently found this product, Cover your Gray Professional, and it is the best so far. I like that the applicator is not like eyelash mascara. This product goes on smoothly/quickly, no scent and no mess. I can run my fingers in my hair over the hair mascara and not get any residue on my hands.I highly recommend this product. If you hair is medium brown, use the medium brown color, it is an exact match. I also recommend reading reviews before purchasing any product. Oh, and the price for this product is very reasonable. The salon where I get my hair done recently started carrying hair mascara and their price is $24.00. Buy online!!

This product works well. It covers my gray roots with minimum effort and is very easy to apply. It allows me to have more time in between color appointments at the salon. The stick application is easy and works well. It does not get on my scalp. The only time it gets on my skin is if I am close to my forehead but it wipes easily off. The color does not rub off on my sheets or pillows at all. I currently have about 1/4 to 1/2 inch of gray roots and I am able to cover that no problem. Any longer I can see it may get more difficult. It matches well with my brown hair (i bought medium brown). I would recommend this product.

This product does cover gray fairly well, but there are some negatives. Much care has to be taken so that the scalp is not colored as well as hair. Because it is in stick form and has a somewhat waxy feel, it never becomes "set" and rubs off on fingers while trying to arrange hair until it is washed out. A plus is that it does not feel sticky or greasy, and the texture of hair is not affected much. I probably will use the entire stick and buy it again.

If you like the feel of lipstick in your hair. Seriously, I tried to style it after using this on the grays that are at the forehead hairline, impossible. It says not to get it on your scalp. Well when your grays grow from the scalp, that's a little difficult. My main reason for this purchase was for in between colorings, that means it's going to go on gray ROOTS. Anyway, I have long, straight, medium brown hair so I pulled it back in a ponytail and hoped that would make it less noticeable. In the end I washed it out of my hair, off of my scalp and waited until the next day so I could color them as usual.

I ordered this product before and loved it. This time, however, the color doesn't match my hair - it seems to have an obvious red tint and really doesn't look brown. It also made my hair look greasy where I applied it. I wonder if they changed something about this product because it matched well the first time I bought it.

Product did a good job of covering my gray roots but you have to be careful not to get in on your scalp. It takes a lot of rubbing to get it off and not look like a stain on the scalp. When applied to just the hair it blended in well. I would recommend it and buy it again. Lots better than the product recommended at the beauty supply store!

Excellent color and coverage. I've been having a hard time finding medium brown hair color sticks lately in stores where I usually buy this product. The label will say the color is medium brown, but I'm finding it's really either dark brown or light brown. I've already ordered Cover Your Gray from Amazon several times and have plans to continue ordering it.

It's a bit hard for me, as I was used to the brush in wand, but it does work. I would consider buying it again--the service was excellent!!!

Too sticky to apply.

This applies so thick that it's like layering on clay on your scalp. It makes your hair look greasy. I'm considering returning this. Product is not as advertised.
