Grunted at a big PA buck across the field from me (180 yards) he definitely heard me because his head snapped in my direction.. He wasn’t committing fully off just the grunt, then a slight tickling of the black rack and he came in on a string. Was able to harvest a 135 inch 8 point with this combination. Great product, great volume level, easy to use.

The deer call works well, but the antlers are of course rather bulky to carry into the woods and there are some more compact solutions that work. While I like the call when I used it I was a bit careless pulling it out of my pack and it came apart. Hard to figure out how it goes back together.

High quality, realistic sounds that are easy to make. Both seem very durable. I've already called in 2 bucks this past week using just the grunt tube and one with the black rack. Shot my buck 2 nights ago so I'll get to actually experiment with the black rack a lot more next week to see how the bucks and does respond. The black rack fits in itself so after tieing on some 550 cord to keep them connected they fit on top of my day pack pretty well. I waited 10 years to buy this set and am so far glad I did. Another tool in the tool box of deer hunting.

I always looked at this set and thought, not sure I could justify that price. But after a few years of humming and hawing, the price went down a little and I pulled the trigger. The call is excellent tone, external adjustability is awesome. Doe sound is a little deep, I slide it a little closer to the fawn most of the time. When doing rattle sequences, I can easily do two different grunt sounds with a quick adjustment. Down side is the mouth piece is not easily gripped in your teeth for no hands use. The rattling antlers are well designed to be able to get both main beam and tine noises very naturally and they nest together nicely for storing strapped to my pack. I added a little bungy to help keep them quiet and together when not in use. After on season of use, very happy with the results!

The rattle sounds very realistic. The call is alright.
