I love this little gadget it works as intended as long as you have a usb c port on your motherboard not the pc case as this only pulls about 500mbs. 1. connectivity this is as eseay as plug and play 2. compatibility only use this on a usb c port on the motherboard if you want the full 1 gig conection 3. Solid as always with Amazon Basics. All premium material. As someone who has lots and lots of electronics and even more cables, I can confidently say this thing will last for many years, probably will be Obsolete before it ever wears. It not only looks nice but it’s at the price it should be.. many competitors have ridiculous prices on these and it does not make sense. It won’t make your internet faster having a more ‘premium’ cable. Thanks to this I’m able to properly test my internet wired from router. Gets me 750-900 fine. Never used USB/C to Ethernet, so could be my laptop but it takes 15-30 seconds to actually connect, that’s merely a minor nuisance though. Ethernet in original form typically connects instantly. No drivers or anything needed. Just plug in. Fast and reliable always for me.

This liitle adaptor worked flawless staright out the package. Most modern laptops, like mine, don't have an ethernet port but I needed an ethernet connectrion to connect direct to my router and this adapter worked a treat. My local big chain PC store wanted nearly £30 for the same thing and for under £10 this amazon adapter was perfect. The fit of the ethernet was solid and the cable length was just enough without too much hanging. The quality of this product is very good. I would 100% recommend this ethernet adapter.

works as expected speed 960 Mbits. after ordering i noticed the 2.5Gb should have gone for that, mind it's better than my old usb dongle 10 Mbit

Adapter funktioniert.

I tried other hubs and adapters to give me RJ45 for connection to my home network with a new HP laptop. They all worked to some extent but were slower than with the laptop wireless. This was the only one that provided me with the same hard wire connection speed as my other (and older) laptop. The other ones which had additional ports may promise the direct connect speed but the ones that I ordered and returned didn't live up to the promises.
