Easy swivel knot prevention that really works.
I bought several of these to help Mom keep her 50-foot oxygen hose from kinking up. The idea was to acquire several shorter lengths of hose and use the swivel connectors between each (they have to have the factory-formed rubbery, ribbed ends to shove the connector tube into). Until we could get more hose, I used one swivel to connect the cannula to the green hose. Just that one connection has worked to keep the stupid hose unkinked all by itself. Amazing!Since the connectors do get caught under furniture pretty easily, Mom didn't want to follow through with the original plan. Rather, she got a shorter, 4-foot cannula to keep the connector just up off the floor, and this seems to be working very well for her. I highly recommend this brand of swivel connectors.

Best connectors for oxygen tubing!
These swivel connectors are FANTASTIC. They work much better than the other ones that came with my oxygen tubing. These actually swivel and unkink the line. The others don't, despite that being their intended purpose. If these get pulled apart they just snap back together. The line doesn't slip off the connector either. If you're on home oxygen and are having trouble with your line tangling I can't say enough good things about these. Definitely recommend!

Leaking connectors
These connectors that swivel on both ends leak! My wife uses a 50 foot line with two extensions joined by connectors. She was not getting enough oxygen, an oxygenation reading of 79! I contacted the oxygen supplier who came out and checked the equipment. It was in the process of this that we discovered oxygen was leaking at both ends of connectors where it swivels. We replaced these connectors with the type that swivel in the middle. Her oxygenation reading quickly rose to 98.

It's not perfect; but
Things can be done to improve our being tied to an O2 concentrator.- - - Floor (Long line) and Portable Concentrators - - -The tube irritates my ears. I’ve found no aftermarket cushions that cushions as well as 2” strips of Nexcare Absolute Waterproof First Aid Tape, Cushioned Protection, 1-Inch x 5-Yard Roll (Pack of 6) e. (Clean tubing, hands w/alcohol prior use to insure the tape sticks well.) It lasts about 2 weeks before i must redo. I do not understand how anyone can use a Cannula and wear a mustache. Shaving that area, at least daily, keeps it from playing slip and slide on my face.- - - Floor Concentrators (Long line) only - - -To fight kinking lines, I use a slightly complex configuration. I use two swivel connectors and two short humidifier adapter tubes at a time. My configuration is: Cannula > Tubing Connector for Oxygen Tubing - Swivel, male to male - 5 PACK > long O2 supply line > swivel connector > Humidifier Connector Adapter Tube For O2 Concentrator by Salter Labs Concentrator Humidifier Adapter Tube (for strain relief) > American Bantex Oxygen Humidifier Bottle > Humidifier Connector Adapter Tube > O2 Concentrator. Having a swivel connector at each end of the long supply line keeps kinking to a minimum. It's not perfect; but, of the Swivel Connectors I’ve tried these (with the tiny eyelet) works best for me. They are sturdy enough that they don’t break easy, they don’t leak O2, and they swivel most freely. Others I’ve tried swivel only when you force them to. Fail to keep the loops out and they soon become more than kinks and become pinch points cutting off the flow of Oxygen. Then the line is worse than useless but dangerous.Note: The swivel action can be improved with the application of a single drop of slippery silicone lubricant such as Uberlube Luxury Lubricant 50ml on each of the swivel’s tubes where they enter the swivel coupling. Work the swivel joint to get the lubracant inside the joint. Even after the lubricant is dry some of the slipperiness remains for a few days keeping your O2 lines considerably less kinked than without. Repeat when needed. Good swivel joints with lube makes the lines last longer. I expect a less expensive lube could be used; but, we already had Uberlube and it does dispense single drops w/o getting messy.

Poor design, do not buy
Different brand swivels purchased in the past would break off little pieces that would get caught in the tubing. I would lose oxygen and not know why. I bought these because they looked sturdier. Well.....I don't have to worry about broken pieces, but I DO have to worry about getting oxygen. Inside the swivel there's a connecting seal. If that seal gets separated by 1 millimeter (literally), air leaks out. Please understand, air doesn't leak from the tubing, it leaks through the swivel itself! Before I realized this, I found myself lightheaded and almost passing out several times. I have to carry the swivel in my hands to ensure it is constantly connected. So then what is the purpose of having a swivel if you have to carry it around? At least with other brands air leakage wasn't even an issue. DO NOT BUY THESE!

Swivel Connectors
The swivel connector makes it easy to connect one oxygen tube to another and not worry about tangling. I use two 25' long tubing with a 7' cannula 24/7. The swivel connectors makes it easier for Me to walk around the house and not be concerned about tangling.

Swivels Nice!
I like the swivel alot! keeps my oxygen tubing from getting so twisted up. What I don't like is : if you happen to step on it by accident, it breaks kinda easy. I have about 3 of these that broke (came apart) and I cant use any more. I guess you could glue them back together...hum...I never thought of that!
