It seems they kept total length the same roughly, but the blade portion is longer so I guess they moved the locking notches down. The benefit of this is it fits inside dimensions of standard blade and so fits in extra blade compartments. The possible downside is that there is less length inside the locking mechanism below notches. This might not matter with some knives....with mine it works but probably is less seated less sturdily than a standard blade.Price in excellent tho, too bad it's cuz the Pound is crashing. My thoughts are with you unless you voted for Brexit or the Tories....or ukip/reformers

The utility blade itself is sharp and well manufactured but the issue is the alignment of the top notches. The notches are off centered and as a result will not fit well in most modern folding utility knife without a huge amount of blade play. I have found that the traditional fixed utility knives such as the Stanley 199 work best with these blades.

Product works very well, cuts leather easily and especially on curves.

While this blade will technically fit most knives, the retention holes are a little off center. This means the back of the blade is shorter than a standard blade and the front is longer. In some knives (I have collected a quite a few over the years and have a pretty good sample size to test ) this causes one or two problems. Most common is that the blade is extra loose in the knife and flops around like it isn't locked into the knife. second is that in some knives, the blade is too long and will not retract/fold all the way into the handle.All that being said, if you can get the blade fitted properly into your knife, it is in my opinion, the best hook blade I have used yet.

I bought these after watching some videos about doing vinyl flooring. They worked 10X better than straight blades for cutting the floor material and they had a very long life between blade changes. The only negative thing I can say is I wished they came in a smaller pack. I redid the flooring in 4 rooms(about 850 sq feet of floor), and I only used 4 blades(1 blade per room, but I could have easily done it with only 2 blades). So I have a bunch of blades left over.

Very nice blade and wicked sharp.I do roofing and purchased these blades out of curiosity. I was curious to see how well they would work for cutting shingles. I just finished a large project and one blade lasted the whole job. They cut shingles fantastically.

Not the sharpist. The one out of Germany is 3x sharper. The steel seams to be better. In all they will get the job done.
