Great for surface mount electrical work.
I use this with the 10X lenses for soldering surface mount components on PCBs, it's fantastic and well worth the money. The stereoscopic vision is a definite must have because it's useful to be able to judge distance.

Excellent for SMD print board assembly
I bought this primarily to assist working with surface mount components. I can manage with a head magnifier for larger parts, but have started to use 0605 sized ones and a head magnifier isn’t up to the task. 0605 parts are 1.5 x 0.8mm. I could work with even smaller parts. The twin LED lights work really well, I notice some instruments either have one light, a ring light, or none at all. These two “goose neck” lights are very bright and easily adjusted to give the right direction of light for soldering. The working height is good, although it helps to have an adjustable height work chair and a low profile print board holder, such as those advertised for use in mobile phone repair work. I use the x10 eyepieces, the x20 ones have too narrow a field of view for assembly work. Changing eyepieces doesn’t alter the focus position. The image is clear and very bright right across the field of view. The instrument is very sturdy, and not too heavy (around 5 or 6Kg). The only criticism is the grub screws holding the eyepieces are easily lost if you change eyepieces regularly and do not lock the eyepieces firmly, although the groove in the eyepieces prevents them falling out. This is a minor issue and doesn’t detract from their use.

great scope
no problems with this scope , punches way above its price tag

Ok for price - some focus issues working with camera
Basic microscope but works OK and is decent at the price. I did have an issue with getting their camera to focus at same time as the other eyepiece. Despite a fair bit of help from their tech support they were unable to help sadly

This is an insane product
If you are willing to spend a small sum of money on something I highly recommend this product. It has insanely clear visuals and good zoom

Reasonable for the money
Good points: 1. Nice working height, meaning that the lens doesn't interfere with soldering tools. 2. LED lamps are nice and bright, and the fact that there are two means no shadows. 3. Sturdy construction. 4. Easy (obvious) assembly, no need for the manual (I haven't even opened the bag!) 5. Focus mechanism is nice and smooth, it 'feels' good quality. 6. It's completely optical, so no delays as with the cheap digital microscopes that render them useless for anything other than inspection. Bad points: 1. Somewhat narrow field of view, especially with x20 lenses fitted. 2. Somewhat narrow depth of field with x20 lenses, but I guess that's what comes with higher magnification. 3. Would be better if it was supplied with optional x5 lenses rather than x20. For most assembly work, x5 would be perfectly adequate. 4. Not a fault as such, but it could be made even better if it had a base plate that included a couple of clamps to hold your PCB. That's a minor niggle though. Overall, it's a very nice microscope for both hobby and professional use. It's every bit as good as units costing 3 times the price.

not good for working on big boards
goo microscope but the base gets in the way and becomes top heavy if trying to rotate

Amazing I am using it for insects, flowers, mushroom spores, gem specimen, fossils, antique coins etc A whole new world to discover: anything small that you take for granted

Great stereoscope. This one sees use in taxonomic plant biology. I have used $4000+ USD scopes this is essentially in function, the same, with the exception of nuanced optical details that are easily recreated in near full form by the provided Barlow lenses that screw into the resin cup that houses the objective lenses. One feature that is beyond more expensive scopes of is variety is the great eye relief and the easy to use interpupillary distance adjustment. I suspect that institutions, knowing how the world is moving, will just switch to these and ditch the Nikons and now even the cheaper Olympus college models for these. This fills the spot of something that works and can be serviced with simple installations of whole, inexpensive ocular portions, cheaper lenses, and detachable ring lights. Lab managers do not want to waste time hunting down repair techs for stuff that can be fixed with no warranty void when the part is a one day ship on amazon. The innerworkings of the objective zoom mechanism can be seen externally to be brass, a pricy and low friction choice for this essential portion, along with the clamps that hold the boom arm to the post. This permits a great vertically register of the clamp while still allowing the x plane to pivot of the whole boom. without loosening the y axis clamp assembly. The assembly seen from the bottom is composed of some kind of dampening grease-lubricated nylon type, a decent choice, considering how the B & L stereo-zoom, a scope of this type, (what I learned on, and also what was the de-facto college + bulk lab choice that still is abundant on the resale market) has still remained as massive surplus neglected in institutional storerooms, still working for years. This is also above the scopes of this similar type by Amscope due to the fact the accessory kit is well furnished and the service is rooted in Motic microscopes here in the United States. This will help if you need accessories in a timely manner for these swift brand amazon market place scopes- the seller for swift official helped me greatly in this regard for the B1 reticle holder for my swift stellar one compound scope. When this scope displayed moderate issues with the zoom function, the seller within hours got right back to me to resolve the issue ASAP to help me make an exchange easy for my situation- Thank goodness, good people in business help make the world go around and then some. Also... FYI The reticle diameter is 24mm. MUHWA sells these on amazon for under $20. Get one of these, it adds another $100 to the scopes usability and makes it is good tool for productive data collection. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083W4QDCR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 24mm one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BF76L7X/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 19mm one The stellar scopes reticle is 19mm, this needs the B1 metal cup insert on Motic's website. Use some gloves to unscrew the ocular lenses plastic cup insert after removing the ocular lens of your choice (R or L). Use gloves, keep the area dust free and get no smudges or dirt on the glass reticle disk. Keep in mind you need a small eye glasses Philips to unscrew the catch for the ocular lenses. Great scope, low price, enough and then some for original research work(plant classification and voucher specimens). I recommend this for any professional or student who needs a good scope fast. I suspect that quality equipment like this will promote more original research on the part of private citizens now that these tools are feasible for the average personal budget.

This is an excellent Microscope if one prefers using an optical for manual soldering or inspecting solder work on a PCB. It also has an advantage over many others that it can be used during equipment repairs to inspect solder joints in already assembled equipment. Its delivery was also well done.

I wanted a good, study binocular microscope to use as a nature journaling tool and have not been disappointed with this choice. It has 2 and 4x magnification, that allows me to see the level of detail I was looking for. It's easy to use and just the right size.
