I used 3 brackets for a heavy duty bookshelf full of books, feels sturdy. Way cheaper than spending $40 on 3 brackets at hardware store. 8-pack is a deal!

Bought these heavy duty 12" L-brackets for shelving in my office. I'm pleased with the outcome. The bottom row of brackets were installed with the short end going up. The top row of brackets were installed with the short end pointing down. That way, all the supports are behind the items on the shelves and the brackets can be somewhat covered up. The screws and anchors that come with the brackets were not used. Each bracket was screwed into a stud using three inch long construction screws. The brackets seem to be sturdy and are serving the intended purpose. This worked out so well, I am purchasing two more boxes to install shelving in other places.

Sturdy for hanging shelves. Color is a nice white and the size is spot on. Easy to install and a good value for money.

Very good though they are not perfectly square. I install them on a stud, place a level, and if needed I use a 4 foot long pipe to bend them into shape. With the 12 inchers, if you only need to make a small adjustment and you have the strength, the part is long enough that you can get some leverage and bend it by hand just a bit.The screws that came with it are also very good, I think they are 2 inch #10 with a black coating. With that length of screw I felt confident doing the bending trick. Also, the screws took a beating when tapping into dense doug fir, and the heads still looked good.Some of the screws were missing. I topped up at the hardware store. An annoyance but I'm only taking off 1 star because it was still a good value.I would have preferred 1/4" thick brackets, and I've bent those before too. But they'd be about 50% more costly.

These brackets are phenomenal. I added too long shelves in my craft closet. It is sturdy and is able to hold a large amount of weight. It also helps me to organize things and that they’re right at my fingertips.

Ease to install, they came with two different size screws. Good value for how many you get. Fairly sturdy. They do flex a little under weight. But they look great.
