Works great
I am putting up drywall in my basement with a drill. Sometimes I would leave a screw head out too far or rip the paper going in to much. I tried one first. They work really nice put the head in low enough to not scrape and dimpled enough to mud the screw in even But the Philips head would get worn after I would spend a long time (lots of sheets) using the drill. So I bought a pack of 5 way better. When one starts spilling just change it.

Excellent setter bit tip!
I have been using this setter for a while now and it is really helpful. The drywall screws end up right where you want them, a slight dimple below the drywall. steer is sturdy, well built, no complains at all One thing to watch for is that you need to keep your drill perpendicular to the surface or otherwise the dimple is not even

It works
I’m not a professional drywall installer. This was my first time to hang drywall. I used my drill with this product. It took me about 3 screws to get a feel for it. Granted i still messed a few up. But it does work. Might not be perfect like a drywall gun(I’ve never used one) but it will get the job done. I did have to use a screw driver on a few I messed up to sink them a little bit more.

Worked like a charm when hanging drywall
Used this bit tip for hanging drywall in my basement. Made spackling much much easier. Would recommend for DIY laymans like myself.

Ok
It was great product but Lowes hardware has the same brand 4pack for the same brand I returned it so I could get the better deal and have spares. No hassle return though.

Sinks drywall screws perfectly
This bit was exactly what I needed to properly seat drywall screws for some patches I was doing. It works fine with my cordless driver/drill. It's a good, cheap alternative to a screw gun for those of us who don't do drywalling all day every day. Now I just need to figure out how not to lose the tiny thing, like the last one I bought :-)

Its a consumable, you will need more than one
I used these to drywall a small divider wall. They were pretty handy. Only 25% of my screws were perfectly set. The other 75% went in a little crooked but thats user error not the tool. They do wear out rather quickly but its because of the way they work. If you want one that will last longer you need to get a real drywall screw gun.

exactly what its supposed to be
is this an unnecessary item: yes. does it do its job?: yes. is it worth 3 bucks to make a job slightly neater? -- in my opinion yes did what it was supposed to do. I know many people can screw the proper amount without this (as can I) but this just added a little more efficiency to the job -- in my opinion well worth the price tag.
