**IMPORTANT, READ BEFORE BUYING** I have encountered a recurring issue with my order. Less than a year ago, I ordered Torchbeam D1S HID headlights through Amazon but consistently received Toby's brand D1S lights instead. Despite several replacements at the time, the incorrect item continued to be delivered. After roughly 8-10 months of use, one of the Toby's brand bulbs has now shifted color to purple and has experienced a significant loss in brightness without warning —a known sign of rapid internal degradation, typically involving the arc chamber or electrodes. Bulbs with a 6000K color temperature are supposed to emit a pure white light with a slight blue tint, but these Toby's bulbs have clearly failed to maintain that standard. More recently, I attempted to order Torchbeam D1S lights again, hoping the issue had been resolved. Unfortunately, I once again received Toby's brand —a different version than before, possibly just new packaging. I also previously placed orders from both Amazon US and Amazon Germany and still received the wrong brand in both cases. It is important to note that Toby's brand D1S lights do NOT light up the road that much, even with the headlights are properly aligned. Furthermore, their lifespan is limited to roughly one year, which is well below expectations for HID lighting. Although I will test the bulbs received before initiating a return, this repeated issue has been extremely frustrating. I do NOT recommend purchasing these bulbs if you're seeking Torchbeam quality, as the correct product is NOT being delivered. Whether it’s a listing hijack, bad third-party seller, or just a serious breakdown in Amazon’s fulfillment quality control, it’s unacceptable—especially when performance, safety, and reliability matter, like with headlights.
