Instructions for PUSH BUTTON START vehicles!
Worked perfectly on my 2016 Ford Focus ST winter wheels (with VDO aftermarket TPMS sensors). Since I didn't see this anywhere, instructions for PUSH BUTTON START vehicles are as follows: 1) Make sure ALL TIRES ARE INFLATED TO SPEC 2) Ensure vehicle is in OFF mode 3) PRESS AND RELEASE BRAKE PEDAL 4) Press IGNITION BUTTON 5 times (on-off-on-off-on) ending in ON (within 10 sec) 5) PRESS AND RELEASE BRAKE PEDAL (again) 6) Turn the ignition switch back to OFF. 7) Press the IGNITION BUTTON 5 times ending in ON (same process as step 4) (within 10 sec) 8) The HORN SOUND sound indicates vehicle has entered into TPMS RELEARN mode. 10) Place the top of the TPMS triggering tool very close the sidewall of the DRIVER’S SIDE FRONT tire in the location of the valve stem. PUSH TRIGGERING TOOL BUTTON, HOLDING IT until the horn sounds 11) Once the horn sounds, move on to the PASSENGER SIDE FRONT tire and repeat the process. Each tire should only take 30 seconds or less. 12) Once horn sounds continue on to the PASEENGER SIDE REAR tire and 13) Once horn sounds continue on to the DRIVER’S SIDE REAR tire. 14) You may now turn the ignition to OFF. · If the horn does not sound, the sensors were learned successfully. · If the horn sounds twice, then the process must be repeated because there was a malfunction. (the above was partially copied from another review with the items specific to push button start changed). For my vehicle/TPMS sensor combo it took around 3-5 seconds per wheel for the horn to beep indicating it had learned that sensor. For the price (and especially considering it is an OEM Ford service tool!) it worked wonderfully. 5 stars for price, ease of use, quality, and function. Also fairly small so I just keep it on the glovebox for the twice/year I switch tires.

Be advised, 2 ways to “learn/re-learn” sensors!!!
Bought this product as I installed new TPMS sensors in my Focus RS (2016-2018 years). Worked like a charm. PLEASE UNDERSTAND there are in fact TWO different ways to learn/re-learn your tire pressures. If you just installed new ones and need to sync them to the car for the first time, here is the process: (DO NOT DEPRESS THE CLUTCH TO START CAR!) -Turn ignition to the OFF position -Press and release brake pedal once -Quickly turn the ignition from OFF to RUN/ACC (engine OFF) three times, stop in RUN position -Press and release brake pedal once -Turn ignition OFF -Quickly turn the ignition from OFF to RUN/ACC (engine OFF) three times, stop in RUN position NOTE: All the steps for this process must be performed within 10 seconds. A single horn chirp will indicate the relearn mode is active. After you hear the chirp, the dash should read something like “Tire pressure training mode” and will prompt you to start at the left front tire (LF), then the RF, then the RR, and lastly the LR. Hold the clicker aimed directly at the tire stem as close as possible (or next to the tire stem where the tire meets the rim) as that is where the sensor is located. After each tire is “learned”, it will chirp one time and tell you to move to the next tire which again, starts at driver’s side front tire and goes clockwise around the car. The second possible way to RE-LEARN sensors if you have the same ones installed but changed tires or did a tire rotation is: (DO NOT DEPRESS THE CLUTCH TO START CAR!) -Turn ignition to RUN/ACC position (engine OFF) -Quickly press the hazard button 6 times -The horn will chirp one time and the process will be exactly the same by going to LF tire and worming clockwise with the clicker. This is also the GENUINE MOTORCRAFT CLICKER, not some garbage one. Worked great for me!

SO easy to use! Worked perfectly on the first try!
I didnt even bother researching the instructions. The comments section of Amazon has the answer. I used the below procedure and I got it finished up on the first try. It took maybe 1 minute total. 1. Make sure all tires are inflated to the vehicle’s recommended inflation pressures (found in the owner’s manual on the door placard). 2. Turn the ignition switch to OFF then press and release the brake pedal. 3. Turn the ignition switch from OFF to RUN (engine OFF) 3 times, ending in the RUN position. Do this within 10 seconds. 4. Press and release the brake pedal. 5. Turn the ignition switch back to OFF. 6. Turn the ignition switch from OFF to RUN (engine OFF) 3 times, ending in the RUN position. Do this within 10 seconds. 7. The horn should sound letting you know the vehicle has entered into TPMS relearn mode 8. Place the VT10’s antenna on the sidewall of the driver’s side front tire in the location of the valve stem. 9. Hold the left button of the VT10 triggering tool for 5-10 seconds. The vehicle’s horn will sound letting you know the sensor has been learned. 10. Once the horn sounds, move on to the passenger side front tire and repeat the process. Each tire should only take 30 seconds or less. (it took 2 seconds for me) 11. After the passenger side front tire has been learned, continue on to the passenger side rear tire and finishing with the driver’s side rear tire. 12. You may now turn the ignition to OFF. If the horn does not sound, the sensors were learned successfully. If the horn sounds twice, then the process must be repeated because there was a malfunction. As soon as I hit the button near the tire the horn honked. I was surprised how quickly it worked. When I finished, everything was working perfectly. I love when a simple device makes a job easier and cheaper!

I did not receive this item for a day, so I noticed the TPMS light went out all by itself after going for a drive the day after changing back to the summer tires from winter tires. Tried the item anyway, since I assume that the car recognised the original tires but would not know they are now rotated. For our car, which has a pushbutton start, the method is as follows. Push and release the brake. Turn the car on with a two second push of the start button and turn off the car with a quick push twice.. Turn on the car a third time with a two second push. Push and release the brake. Turn the car off with a quick push. Turn the car on with a two second push of the start button and turn off the car with a quick push two more times. Turn on the car a sixth time with a two second push. The horn should honk to indicate train mode and the dash will tell you what tire to do (left front first). Hold this handy gadget against the wheel at the valve stem and push the button. The light on the tool will illuminate and a few seconds later the horn honks. Proceed following the order displayed on the dash until all four tires are done (right front, right rear, left rear). I think the car then turned itself off, but I could have been mistaken. Note this item works without needing to open the original packaging, so if it does not work it would be easy to return. This item came in an sealed Motocraft plastic bag. I tossed it in the back with the tire repair kit. I did this with the winter tires hanging right above the car, so it didn't seem to care much about other nearby sensors.

It worked on a 2017 Mustang & a 2014 Focus

This works for a 2016 f350, but you need to do the key reset trick not what it says in your Manuel. Trick is press brakes, cycle key to on/off position three times leave at on position on third (don't start) press hold brake for 2-3 seconds and cycle key on/off positions three times again and leave in on position on final cycle (don't start) should hear one horn and dash should say reprogram tire sensor or similar. Then start on driver front, passenger front, passenger rear, driver rear should hear a honk after each tire. Google it if you need better directions.

Works perfectly. Despite what the posting says, this DOES work for a 2014 Ford Escape SE. You have to know how to get the truck into programming mode (very easy, Google it), but once it's in Program Mode, it's a matter of seconds to program all 4 tires. Better price than buying from the dealership and it's the identical product. Very highly recommended, excellent product.
