Are the D2388 cutters capable of cutting 0.041" safety wire without being ruined?

I don't know if they are hardened like the Klein lineman pliers. I assume you are talking about the guy cable that is in the center of a tri-plex cable? The steel cable that will damage most cable cutters. I Googled that question and although it says they are "Induction Hardened" I would not chance that. Not only that but I would think a pair of hardened Klein lineman pliers would do a much better job at that. All I can tell you is I have used these pliers in hard duty applications and they hold up. The are great for prying over hammered staples on Romex with their offset feature. (I bought the diagonals with a slight offset in them) . I love the tool and bought one for my son as well.

What's the difference between the 238-8 and the 248-8?

According to the Klein website, the 238”s are semi-flush cut whereas the 248”s are slightly angled. Search for both on the Klein site to compare pics of them.

Do you still offer the D248-8 plier w/ curved handles?

I bought mine around a year ago so I assume they still do. They're very popular and can't imagine them not being available. Bound to be a Klein best seller.
