Incredibly bright, conical light emission.
This light is (VERY) bright. It is also quite large in diameter. Be sure to check the light fixture opening to make sure it will actually fit. It was bought to go in an outdoor lamppost, which was not an ideal situation for use in this case. Though the light shines in every direction around the bulb it is essentially directed away from the fixture/socket (wide symmetrical cone). It would be better suited as a shop lamp where the light needs to shine down on something rather than expecting a spherical emission of light. Heat was not a problem, however physical dimensions and weight should be carefully considered for your application.

Super bright.
I did not expect this to be as bright as it is. It illuminates my 10 x 12 foot deck while being in the corner really well.

Very Bright, only 40 watts
As bright or brighter than the 70 watt high pressure sodium it replaced. I had to bypass the ballast in the fixture as this is a standard type bulb. Note: bulb is large and may not fit in a small fixture.

Great bright light.
Bought and installed this item January 2023 in an outdoor dusk to dawn fixture. Now 3 years later needs replacing after approx. 14,000 hrs. This light replaced a high pressure sodium light and was much brighter. Buying this light again.

Does a great job!
The first one was broken on the inside and would not work. Sent back and received another. It's a great light! Does an amazing job of lighting my entire back yard. Would have given 5 stars if not for the inconvenience of the broken one.

I can’t believe the awesomeness.
These bulbs are actually incredible. No lie. I am a mechanic and I take my profession home with me. I popped these ridiculous looking things into my garage sockets and I kid you not. Crazy bright for those long days fixing mine or my friends vehicles. The shop I work at ain’t even that bright. I can see just about everything in that engine compartment and need the flashlight minimally for stuff buried on the sides or underneath. Even dropped the 10mm and frilled found it thanks to those bulbs. My garage is running 2 of these stupid things and I will never use anything less at this point again. Hmmm I bet these paired with one of them stupid so met fans would be super awesome. A word of caution. Don’t look at em. It’s pretty rough.

Miniature indoor sun
This bulb was used in a garage to replace a standard LED bulb. It was adding a sun indoors. Lights up every part of the garage. Love it. Will buy again.

Let me clarify, I had purchased the original ones 5yrs ago. These ones in my opinion are just a little dimmer. The old ones had double lighs on it all the way down. Other than that I love them.
