Her world is exciting and full of adventure visit different countries. She is a complete total opposite of Carsons world.Carson and Hailey meet at a bar where Hailey works. Its like love at first site.Haileys intrigued by his mystery and seriousness and Carson loves how cute and happy she is . They start meeting more and their feelings go a little more deeper but theres one problem. Hailey has no idea who the real Carson is and something happens that totally throws Haileys world upside down! I love so much the action, the drama, the emotional angst between these two. Anything this author writes, know its going to be a page turner. @saharadawn29

Least Fav
Writing is excellent as always & this rating is more just personal preferences… regardless it still deserves a solid 4.5. & I’m was kinda a little bit surprised of how sexual Carson was, but not at first. His thoughts never even veered N that direction to begin with. Until after the deed, which of course was after much internal struggle on his behalf.

Meh
I hated to leave less than 4 stars on any Michelle Heard book but unfortunately this one wasn't for me. I loved the storyline itself and of course Michelle's writing style as always. I even loved Carson honestly. As always loved Alexei and hope we can have a book with MJ one day . I did not like Hailey. I felt she was incredibly naive and at times annoying. You mean to tell me you knew he was watching you and didn't think to ask why ? Or didn't think to ask exactly what he did for a living ? Granted he should've told her but at the same time he watched and followed you for awhile and you thought that was normal behavior? I love a good stalker but hate when the fmc is so dumb. That's the only way I can describe Hailey. Dumb and naive to where it irks me. The only redeeming quality I saw in her was that she stood her ground and made him fight for her after everything. I did appreciate that. I also didn't like that most of the book they weren't even together. They were apart more than they were in an actual relationship. Carson himself was great and never tried to make himself seem better than he was unlike Hailey who continued to use the word vigilante instead of Assassin ( eye roll ). Sex scenes were decent. I liked how Carson always took control. Overall not my favorite book. I will continue to read the series because I do love Michelle's work. Sometimes certain books just fall flat to the reader and this was that book for me. I would recommend reading it to read the entire series.

Be prepared to cry! You don't expect it in the beginning, but boy does it get emotional!
I have to admit...this one totally surprised me in a good way! Because after the first few chapters I started to get a little disappointed, but then ... WOW ... Did it pick-up and impress me!First, let me get my only complaint out of the way. What the heck kind of Russian name is Carson? Really, I just couldn't get around that name for a Russian H. If they'd grown up in the states or somewhere other than Russia maybe. But that wasn't the case. He was born and raised in Russia till he was 16 then moved to Swtzerland to be with his older brother. The name may have had something to do with the disconnect I mention below. It was after I looked up Russian names and gave the H one I chose (Nikolai, with the American h calling him Nik and his Brother calling him Nikolai or Nikki) that I started reconnecting, but could have been the story picking-up too. Has anyone ever done that?... Changed a characters name because you didn't like the one the author gave him/her?This story started off pretty interesting...I got hooked reading the "look inside" (1st 3 chapters) on Amazon, so bought the book to continue reading. But a few chapters after those first 3, the characters seemed to be going flat, particularly the H. A disconnect seemed to develop with the H. The name didn't fit and I couldn't reconcile what the H is (trained assassin) to the man he seemed to be after meeting the h (which happens early on). But I kept reading and am I glad I did. It wasn't long before you see the H in action making you believe he is what he's supposed to be; and not long before things go sideways, putting them in danger and then pulling them apart as she discovers what he really is.And this is the point where this book became a five star for me. I save my five stars for books that move me to real emotions, ones that make me feel what the characters are feeling. It could be out loud laughter; an abundance of joy that stays with me long after the story is over; extreme anger or rage....the emotion doesn't matter, just that I felt it. And boy, did I feel this one. I felt the H's (yeah, the one I initially had the disconnect with), I felt his regret, his sorrow, his despair and hoplessness, his loss...to the point that I was choked up with a lump the size of a grapefruit in my throat (that hurt) and tears sneaking down my cheeks. (If the hubby hadn't been sitting right next to me I'd have probably been bawling out loud.) And I continued to feel both their emotions as the H continued to watch her to keep her safe, but gave her the space/separation she wanted not knowing if she would ever accept him, stop fearing him or even forgive him. And I felt her confusion, sadness and fear as she worked through the terror of what happened to her, fear of what he was even while missing him and trying to reconcile the man she fell in love with with the assassin.I even loved the side characters, Alexei, Damien, Dimitri and MJ to name a few. This book is part of Heard's Saints series. Each is a stand-alone telling a different characters story. Damien's story is first, then Lucien, this one, Carson's/(Nikolai's ... lol) story is 3rd in the series followed by Dimitri's due out in Aug 2021, then Alexei's due out in Oct 2021. Looking forward to that last one especially.

A story with heart
I have enjoyed this series so far. The characters in this book are related to Alexei from the other books. This story belongs to his brother Carson. The both look out for each other and are paid assassins. Theirs is their family business and they are the best at keeping those evil people from propagating. It’s a single lifestyle. However whilst returning home from a job, Carson stops at a local bar for a drink. He is quite surprised to see a brand new face bartending. This fresh face belongs to Hailey. She is an American working her way through Europe to sightsee. Hailey too takes a liking to Carson. There is danger in the life of an assassin. . . . And to be in their life . . . . Read On!

Holly mother of God!
I really enjoyed! Carson is dark and an introvert, so feelings? He doesn’t know how to express it. Being touched by a sunshine of a person put him in a situation where he wants what he can’t have.Being with him means not having a normal life, and to put a “normal” person in it, means danger and precautions. He will do anything to protect her and make her love him so when she finds out the truth she wouldn’t leave him!Because of his obsession and the fear that she would never want him because of his profession he puts her in a situation that will forever changes her. And the only hope he have is that she remember the person he is without the title of an assassin.

An outstanding read !
Q. What do you get when a ruthless assassin meets a sweet, adventurous girl-next-door?A. A fast paced, suspenseful story packed with vulnerable innocents and dangerous, evil men, providing the background for an intense, once in a lifetime romance. This was an outstanding read!I love the deep connection between Carson and Hailey; there was something endearing about their reserved exchanges when they first met. Carson is the strong, silent type; he’s edgy and guarded and the antithesis of Hailey, who is open, friendly and compassionate. These two are my perfect couple, but their instant attraction and subsequent relationship is built on a foundation of prevarication and lies that ultimately leads to harrowing and deadly consequences. In Carson’s world there are only allies or foes. Alongside Carson and Hailey, there’s a cast of the good, the bad and the ugly. I adore Carson’s brother, Alexei, and bodyguards, Demitri and MJ; they provide a blend of strength, loyalty, humour and love. But the world they all live in is filled with cruel and despicable enemies, lurking in the shadows.I can’t stress enough how much I love these characters and their story; this book deserves a whole galaxy of stars… I received an early copy of this book from the author

5 stars for the Sun and Moon.
Carson Koslov!! Gah!!! This Ruthless Assassin has stolen my heart, He's every bit the lethal killer, cold and calculating, strong and silent, dark and deadly. There are so many layers to him, he has that mysterious vibe going on.Carson might be a recluse who prefers his own company but his world is still a dark and dangerous place. Carson is lethal and good at his job, hunting, killing and torturing come second nature to him, those things are easy. Interacting with people is where Carson struggles. When Carson meets Hailey he's immediately drawn to her, her smile and the way she shines makes her stand out, she's light where Carson is Darkness. That's what attracts him, she's his complete opposition every way.I absolutely loved Carson and Hailey their story was a suspenseful, passionate, emotional, dangerous and exhilarating love story.I'm so excited for Demitri's story, but my absolute favourite character from Michelle is Alexei . I'm desperate for the Older Koslov brother to finally let us in and show is the man underneath the hard exterior. It'll take one hell of a woman to penetrate his armour and I can't wait to see him fall.

Carson
I began reading this series in the wrong order i.e. 2,1,3. Lucky I did because if I had read the first one about Damien first then i probably wouldn't have read the other two . I really didn't enjoy Damien and Winters story and only gave it 2 stars but the stories about Lucian and Carson I really enjoyed reading . Carson and Hailey are an interesting combination that keep the readers attention. Very good.
