Very good book, but a warning needed.
This is a great book. However, few songs, most notably, "Guitar Boogie" and "Countrywide" are from "the electric era" of Tommy, so make sure that it is what you want. If you want acoustic versions, buy "Solo Guitar Style".

enjoying the book
Over my head, but then Tommy E is in the top 100 best guitarist anyway.

Tommy Emmanuel-A Step By Step Breakdown of His Guitar styles..Review:
It was okay;but i mainly got it for the one hit song "Angelina";it was on there;so it was a good thing. Product got here in good condition;but did take a while..longer than usual;was unusual about that? Over all;i'm happy with it.

Great Gift for Guitarist
I love getting Tommy cd's and tablatures for my husband. Although he has several tablatures, this one had some songs he didn't have and is eager to learn. Love Tommy and love hearing my husband playing Tommy!

Warning repeated.
Let's say that you, like me, have sat transfixed, witnessing Tommy Emmanuel's unparalleled acoustic guitar mastery. Let's also say that you, like me, feel inspired to get a bit of it "under your fingers" yourself. If those two things are true, then keep shopping and do not buy this particular book. The subtitle, "A Step-by-Step Breakdown of His Guitar Styles and Techniques", may in fact be what Hal Leonard wanted the writer to produce. It's not, however, what you'll find in this book. There are indeed some examples of The Great One's acoustic stylings, but far, far too much of the written and audio material is devoted to old electric guitar ramblings which, to be honest, rarely rise above the, well, average. Some of it is actually quite cliched blues playing backed by horns--hardly what most people wishing to add a bit of Tommy to their style would be looking for!In fact, I would venture to say that if without being told who the material was from you were played the audio versions of many of these examples, you would never in a million years guess that it was Tommy.Again, there are much better Tommy books for what you're looking for. Keep shopping.
