Q: I just bought an rv. why do i need this?

Appropriate water pressure to your RV depends on its age. Older RVs: 40-45 psi max. Newer RVs: 45-60 psi max. 45 psi is pretty safe for most purposes but 60 psi is the absolute maximum. Also, someone mentioned campsite water pressure could go as high as 50 psi. This is WAY wrong. It could be as high as 150 psi! That's why the gauge on this unit goes up to 160 psi.

Q: How low can you adjust the psi?

The PSI is already pre set. Haven't had any issues and the PSI doesn't go higher than 30. You can adjust it lower or higher if you need to.

Q: does this work with a 5/8 inch hose?

please check the dimension of your hose connector, if it is 3/4 inch, it can be connected with our water pressure reducer.

Q: How long is the warranty?

I'm not too sure. But it's pretty cheap like $25 if ever I need one again.
